I love 360 aerial panoramas. How did you take it, Litchi or manual shoot? Great job. How many rows and photo per rows and how much time to take all the photos?

Thank you!I like creating 360s - good fun! I do a manual shoot, usually around 20 or so photos across 3 rows (6 or 7 on horizontal row) depending on how much overlap I think I will need - can be a judgement call working around areas with little detail or trying to minimise lens flare. I'm sure I could take less images on the lower rows as the overlap increases but it's easier to keep the number the same for each row - saves thinking too much, mid flight! Better too many images than to get home and find a missed area!
It usually takes 3 or 4 mins to take the images.

What software are you using to stitch the photos ? and how are doing the upward facing photos for the sky ?

I'm using Kolor Autopano Giga. The upward shots are shot from the ground with another camera immediately before the flight. This gives me a ground hemisphere and a sky hemisphere and the two are carefully blended together into a final photosphere.

Works quite well - even with cloudy skies (example below - click to view interactive version)!
