I am using my phone, Galaxy S4, why? Because at this point I spent so much on the drone, I do not want to drop another 300+ for a good tablet. I have tried my daugher's iPad mini, but it does not have GPS nor cell internet... Although I can carry a mifi or use my android as hotrspot....
I am sure there's quite a spectrum of devices you all use!

Hello there, a blue tooth GPS receiver works well with iPad Air 2 wifi only .. I use a Dual 150 .. With that device you can add GPS to any device with Bluetooth

I researched this topic on here prior to buying my aircraft, and the overwhelming impression I got was that an Apple iPad Air 2 was the best device. So that is what I got and it works perfectly. I understand not everyone can afford to spend that much, but the question is: Do you want a reliable device or not?

I bought my Air 2 from a pawn shop in used condition. Only a couple of minor scratches but otherwise perfect, and I saved a bundle in the process.

I have android and was running it up until the latest firmware update. now it doesn't work w it. I have a nextbook that was inexpensive and it works with that still

But I heard that people use a lot of "unsupported tablets" with great luck. I bet if you search for best tablet for dji app you will get a lot!

Here is a list of supported devices that also includes pilot confirmed devices.
It does appear that DJI is trying to steer us in the direction of iOS which is not unexpected given their new alliance with Apple. It will be interesting to see if that lasts though given Apple's much more lenient return policy.

As for me, my iphone 5s and ipad air 2 work well

Works well? I'll have to look it up! No gps? There's sure an advantage to have something that can do GPS as well as cellular network internet... but then again.. if it works I guess it's doable, and for that price it's not too bad...!

I had the same problem with my old Androids and my old iPad with the latest iso. I took a chance and went to walmart and for $78 I purchasexc a Ne xtbook 8 running Android 5.1 and it linked up and runs great! To top it off it has a micro sd card slot so I can perview my videos.

I know! Just had to give it a try. Plus it has a micro sd so I plugged in the card from my P3P and it was good to view at lower than 4k. Got it today and will give it more test tomorrow.

My walmarts here don't seem to have it, will have to snoop.. That's a good buy! No question there!

I run a Amazon Fire 7" (50 dollar one) right now due to just finished printing my adapter for the ipad pro 12.9. Can't wait to test out the 12.9 ipad pro!

Nextbook was not bright enough. I am now on samsung tab 4, and it does work, but some footage is a bit skippy when watching live (recorded is ok). I guess the tablet is a bit slow? Not sure.. But it sure is way brighter than nextstep, and also screen touch accuracy and detection is superior... So I will stick to it for now.
Really? Fire is powerful enough to work the app? Did not expect that!

I Just got an IPad Mini 4 and it works great!!

Nvidia Shield is probably the best value tablet to use. Others that cost far more may be a bit better but cost is not worth it.
it works perfectly fine with my P3pro.
I have all updates and latest android installed a 32 gig sd memory card.
GO runs great and it plays sd card video perfectly.

at $199.00 new it is great choice.

I use a ipad mini 4 and galaxy s6 edge plus with my standard and both work great. The lack of gps on my mini 4 doesn't even bother me.
