Out of curiosity, if you have RTH altitude set high enough, why would you need collision avoidance on RTH?

Hello TK-421, currently it would be better to keep the collision avoidance on and set a appropriate RTH height. I'll try to pass this idea to our developers for future consideration.

It seems odd to me that OA is not switched on during RTH, so if indeed what you say is true, then I would wholeheartedly agree with you that it should be automatically turned on during RTH.

Leave avoidance on and it automatically turns off in Sport Mode.

That is odd, but i'm guessing they can enable it during RTH in the future (when it's turned off in whatever mode your flying in) except if there's something else blocking CA, like prop guards, it couldn't override through that, so they would have to have it be able to first tell if there are prop guards attached before turning CA on on a RTH when it wasn't turned on before.

Can't you just keep the Collision avoidance on at all times and switch to sport mode if you want to fly fast(er) and back to P-mode when the environment gets a bit trickier or your RC-signal less stable ?

Agreed. I would also like to see this.

I agree with TK-421's request.  Everything is already there and is just needing a firmware upgrade.

I understand other comments that say leave it on etc but for the guys that are more experienced (not me) and wanting that option then why not.

Options are good.  It's got my vote!
