I have 2 lightbridge. They were both working. After 8 months without using them, their batteries were completely discharged.
I recharged them but now the android app is not able to get connected.
If i connect the ground station to windows assistant application i can see only the first component firmware version, while the decoder firmware version and the others are not displayed. I tried to downgrade and reupgrade but the decoder fw version is never shown.

The battery may be dead after 8 month in a over-discharged status.
You may need to send your units in for repair.

Greetings,

I have a similar issue that the decoder firmware does not appear on the dji assistant. Everything else is fine but the decoder I cannot access firmware for upgrading. I had been using the LB fine and then one day had this issue when trying to upgrade. Wha tcould it be? I read in other forums that the LB1 has a recall on some defected units, could it be the case?

I have not been informed of any recall.  There maybe customers sending their units in for repairs, but no recalls.  If you cannot access the decoder, please remove the App and then power cycle your computer.  Reinstall the app and try to update from a clean install.  If that does not work, then you will need to contact dji.com/support for a RMA and repair.

Ok. I do this, call to suport. 380 USD cost repair. I don't do enithing to break my LB. 380 for repair - just becouse.

I have the same problem. I bought a Lightbringe 1 in february, and it never work. At may, I received a new one from italian reseller. I tried the LIghtbridge and i work, but after 2 month it don't work anymore, same problem: I can't see the firmware version of decoder and trasnmitter,and the app don't connect.
It seems a problem when the battery go at low level, but the battery is newand used only one time.

Dear all,
I found a BUG in the lightbridge and I think DJI should find a solution for us, because it played with us for too long.
I have a lot of Lightbridge and they dead one after each other as soon as their battery get discharged after long period where i didn't used them (If you stored it without charging it, you can have the problem also after one month).
As soon as the ground unit battery get fully discharged, the firmware of the device stops to work correctly. You can recharge the battery but, connecting it to the assistant, you will see just one of the 3 firmware component versions, and connecting the device to the smartphone, you will not be able to get connected and receive images.

I wrote that DJI is playing with us, because i returned 2 times my devices to DJI in order to solve this problem, but each time, if  the batteries get discharged, they get broken again.
We need a solution or a workaround because we work with these devices and it is not possible that I need to send to DJI the device each time that i need to work. Moreover I'm quite sure that after the guarantee period, DJI will not longer repair the unit for free. And moreover each time I have to pay the shipment to China and wait for the repair. This is not acceptable.
At least we should pretend a detailed problem description.
I discovered a lot of things about this device, by reading the second link i posted.

When is DJI going to fix this problem? This is a common problem DJI you owe it to your customers to sort it out.

So is this a dead subject to DJI? They still sell and promise to support this on their market page. I just bought into this system to use as a fpv. Neither my ground unit of air unit display any firmware in the assistant despite being linked to each other. App does not connect and device was sent completely dead with no charge to my  doorstep, I have spent a week clawing my hair out trying to figure it out and I'm assuming tearing these apart voids any sort of support for them correct?
