Hello,

I had an incident that broke the P3 camera off. I am in Australia.
I removed the gimbal from the aircraft and it flies fine without it and tested OK using the RTH function.
So I think I just need to replace the camera.

Can someone point me in the right direction to get a new camera thanks.
I assume it is a camera/gimbal set and we just swap it out. Any infortmation if I am wrong here would be appreciated.

What broke exactly? I crashed my P3 and it broke the camera off. I also thought I was going to be forced to buy a new camera/gimbal assembly to replace it. Some quick searching online and I bought a new gimbal arm for something like $70, replaced it, and now it's back flying great.

I'm going to fly it without gimbal/camera and with LED lights attached to it to light up some landscape from the air. That's how I crashed it initially. I added 2 torches at 86g each to the landing struts.
I did a compass calibration and a low hover and all seemed fine. Took off and lost control. Couldn't hold height nor respond to directional control. I figure I either overloaded it, or threw the center of mass too far off. This time I will use it ex camera/gimbal (190g) plus 2 lighter lights (50g each) and see how I go. If it survives this project, I'll send her in for repair.

Looking at the photo it looks like a new gimbal arm, new flexible cable and a new set of dampers should see it back in action again.  You should be able to source these parts reasonably from ebay or online somewhere.   Of course it depends on whether there is anything else broken.

That's about $60 more expensive for the advanced and $130 for the pro, than in USA, but then there is the shipping charge to Australia.

We pay more for just about everything in Australia. It's commonly referred to locally as "The Australia Tax"
Even electronic delivered stuff life Netflix, songs and movies in iTunes.
Ebay and the internet is slowly breaking those barriers down, but the establishment resists with gusto.

Yup. When I crashed mine I broke that exact same arm but the ribbon cable stayed intact. I think I could find the arm and ribbon cable as a package for something like $75 dollars. This is where I ordered my gimbal arm from and it was perfect.
