Im new to video editing.
What works best for the Osmo if I want to have a YouTube Video with 1080p?
1. Record in 1080p directly
2. Record in 4k and edit in FCPx to 1080p (..upload 1080p)
3. Record in 4k and upload in 4k and let YouTube scale it down for each user

Would be 4k or 2k better for the final result of 1080p?

Downscaled 4K to 1080p or 2k to 1080p will always look better as there is more data to work with.

Thanks. So downscale it in Final Cut and export a final 1080p video? Or upload 4k to youtube and let the user choose? (all will watch max 1080p)

When I edit a movie in FCP X, I work in a 4k timeline. When I've finished, I 'share' to a Master File. I then use that Master File as input to Compressor, to generate the final version (1080p or 2k).

Editing in 4k and delivering in a smaller format means that I can use stabilize, crop, pan, zoom, etc. without losing definition.
