Hello,

My Osmo just come back from service after gimbal repair.
Installed newest software.

Yesterday i ve checked what i record and all of the inside and outside shots are overexposured, camera is working in auto mode.
Even in clody conditions sky is white.

Inside shots

Outside shots

Outside shoots DJI Phantom , the same time, the same weather , also auto mode.

No filters on both cameras.
When i was buing Osmo i was sure that camera is much better than the one in Phantom , but Osmo camera works like cheap camera for 40$ ...
Any help with this ?

Hello!
Are those videos the original footage from the SD card?
Please try to use a filter and check the quality of your footage. The sunlight is a little strong for the Osmo camera.

Any more feedback would be appreciated.

Jakub, one difference is that your Phantom's camera is primarily aimed at the ground with much less sky in the shot.  The Osmo shots have more sky, and thus more area of overexposure possibility.

My advice is to two things to help you fix this.
1. GET ND FILTERS!!  I cannot stress this enough.  It will make a huge difference.
2. Shoot in manual mode.  You can control how much light to let in and also you won't get as much issue with the auto exposure making big changes in your shots and looking bad in the post video.

I would say you were definitely NOT in Auto. I know my Osmo 3X, if pointing at those windows, would have stopped down to expose mainly for the exterior, like a cell phone camera would.

A little overexposure in that scene would be considered artsy. As a safety I would have tried another angle with less windows. Perhaps with your back in the corner? Or, stand on a chair aimed down more so there would be less windows in the frame? I treat the Osmo like I would my cell phone camera.

Thank You very much for help !
It was MY MISTAKE , camera was in AUTO MODE but AV was +2,5

Made another movie with similar light and sun and i carefully checked everything. In Auto mode everything is auto except EV , this one You can change, be careful

Sky is blue and clouds are white !

Slow motion works perfect in Osmo !

Why doesn't the DJI Go with Osmo have the option for the little zebra stripes if something is over-exposed, like the Inspire 1? Or does it and I'm missing it?

Half the fun is working things out, I would try ND filters, also to get the best out of Osmo experiment with manual controls, if this was easy everyone would using it ,good luck.
