I have been successfully flying my DJI Phantom 2 Vision + for a couple of years with no incidents. Until..... I made the mistake of updating the firmware on my remote contol using the Phantom RC application. Now the darn thing won't turn on. I have seen a lot people on PhantomPilots  are having the same issue, but there is no concensus as to what to do to fix the problem. Many different opinions.

It is my hope that someone on these forums has a good solution to my problem.

The last RC update was in December 2014.
I take It you read the Red warning about only updating if you have the "upgraded" transmitter with the gimbal control wheel ?
Anyway, just connect to the RC assistant and update again, making sure you select "basic" or Upgraded" depending on what transmitter you have.

Hello lutece7, since your rc has been out of warranty,  you can try to disassemble the RC and find the RC reset button. Plug your RC to computer and press the reset button.Hold the button and power on the rc. Then re-flash the RC's firmware via RC System.
