How do I correct a slight left/right gimbal tilt on the Inspire with X3? Can't identify anything in the menu for that specific  function. All firmware up to date.

Go to the "General settings" on the Go App  and then go to the Camera Icon "Gimbal Settings"  Here you will find the "Adjust Gimbal Roll"  setting.

I usually like to set myAircraft into a nice stable  Hover in very light if any wind and then get the Horizon in view and adjust tolevel , At first I did it with the Aircraft on the ground but found that Level on the ground is different then level in the air ( Lots of factors here )  So i get better results this way , Of course you  may have a differ net opinion, just my 2 cents.

**see post 3 and 4 as well for other ways to skin this cat !!

I've got the I1P so I'm not sure this is workable with the X3 but, during flight, or on the ground for that matter, you can hold down C2 and move the right dial to adjust your horizon. I'm not sure is this is even documented anywhere. I just stumbled on it a few weeks ago.

flightitme , C1 and C2 can be programmed to do lots of different functions , you can find this under the Remote Control settings of the Go app.

You may already know this, just a friendly reminder if not .

Donnie. I believe this functionality is hard coded as I said, it's a two step process. As far as I know, you can only program simple action/response functions in C1 C2. I say that becuse right now, C2 is 'programmed' to reset the gimbal on my bird. Again, I'm not aware this is documented anywhere and would appreciate if folks would give it a try and report back.

While the Rig is up and flying press the C2 button on back of RC ,  and the Right Iso wheel,  ( same time ) then you will see the magic green lines, you can then adjust with the wheel
Or follow post #3 directions, that is where I got it .

Hat tip-flighttime 1!  Works with my X3.
Much easier than pulling it up on the app and displaying on the screen.  No more tap, tap, tap.
Thanks,

Interesting update. I use Autoflightllogics Autopilot quite a bit and attempted to do a horizon adjustment while that app was open the other day and... Nothing. So it seems this is actually coded into the DJI Go app and not part of the R/C -> Inspire connection. Now I'll need to do further testing to see if adjustments made remain as part of the calibration or are just for the individual flight or even just when using the DJI Go app.

You are correct using the C2 button you can use the right trim wheel to adject the gimbal. You can use the C1 button and the right trim wheel to adjust the camera EV. These are hard coded because I have these buttons defined on my remote for other tasks.

When I read this thread, I was sure I saw this documented, and it's hidden on page 38 (of 66) of the Inspire 1 User Manual v2.0 dated 2015.11
Under Camera Gimbal section, a single liner.

"while pressing the C2 button, turn the camera settings dial to fine tune the roll axis of the gimbal.

Good find, at least some of us made it to page 38!
The manual has a lot of good information and it is hard to remember all this stuff.

The problem is some of the earlier manuals did not explain this , I think it actually came out with one of the updates, and then it did not explain that there would be some nice green reference lines as well,  so everyone is right really, I am just glad that Flightime brought this to my attention.

And Chris G you made me realize that I must read the updated manuals every few months to make sure I am getting full benefit of my aircrafts capabilities.   Thanks !

This has been around now for a long time. Most everything is documented on Youtube.

It was contently changing as the FW updates were released and the Go app was updated by DJI...
