Something that is good to know, is that MP4 is more friendly with several devices like smart tv's, projectors a so... if you want to use your clips straight from the I1/phantom go for mp4, instead, if you going to edit your footage go for MOV, MOV is wrapper for post-production and MP4 is for delivery

When it comes to shooting videos with the X3 camera, there are some differences between the MOV and MP4 formats, each with its own set of pros and cons. Let's delve into those aspects to help you make an informed decision, especially considering your preference for editing in Adobe Premiere.

MOV (QuickTime Movie) and MP4 (MPEG-4) are both popular video formats, and each has its unique characteristics. Here's a breakdown of the key differences:

Compression and Quality: MOV files generally offer higher quality and retain more visual information due to less compression. This makes them a good choice when you want to preserve the best possible video quality. MP4, on the other hand, employs more aggressive compression to reduce file size, which can lead to some loss of image quality.

Editing Flexibility: When it comes to editing, MOV files are often preferred, especially in professional editing software like Adobe Premiere. MOV files tend to work better in terms of maintaining image quality during the editing process and offering more flexibility when applying effects and adjustments.

Compatibility: MP4 files are widely recognized and compatible with a variety of devices and platforms, making them easy to share and play without needing specific software. MOV files can sometimes have compatibility issues, particularly on Windows-based systems.

File Size: MP4 files tend to have smaller file sizes due to stronger compression, making them more suitable for online sharing and storage. MOV files can be larger due to their higher quality and less aggressive compression.

Given your intention to edit in Adobe Premiere, using MOV files could be the better way to go. Premiere often works seamlessly with MOV files, preserving the original quality and allowing for more creative freedom during the editing process. You'll have the advantage of maintaining higher image fidelity and better color grading possibilities.

However, if storage and compatibility are significant concerns, using MP4 files might be more practical, especially if you need to share or distribute your videos widely across different devices and platforms. For More Visit: https://www.ytvancedpro.com/is-youtube-vanced-safe/
