IMHO you have four option for HyperLapsing:
1) Record video in TimeLapse mode in 1fps (no additional jpg recording while you will be limited to 0.5 fps then which looks way to hectic in the resulting HyperLapse video). Unfortunatly you will have to live with the 720p resolution of the stupid Osmo. No 4k!
2) As pi-inthesky mentioned, record regular 4k video (e.g. 24fps or 30fps) and create your Hyperlapse video in Post-Production. Unfortunatly you will have to pay for additional software like Microsoft Hyperlapse pro (if available in your country at all) or Aquasoft Diashow. DJI seems unable to provide such tool for their customers and keeps ignoring customers needs (4k TimeLapse with >0.5 fps recording, PostProduction Tool for speeding up regular 24/30 fps 4k video)!
3) Use some completly different equipment ment to create 4k Time / HyperLapse. Probably the best thing to do.
4) Record TimeLapse Video with additional JPG images. Limited to one image every 2 seconds = 0.5 fps. Use the DJI tool or any other available tool to create a 4k HyperLapse movie out of the recorded JPG images. BUT: your Hyperlapse will likely be way too hectic, while the 0.5 fps recording frequency is way too low...
Sorry to say, but in the end the Osmo is not (yet) a good tool for 4k Hyperlapse and TimeLapse recording!
Long way to go for DJI to fix all those problems. Potential solutions have often been discussed but ignored by DJI again and again.
