Usually people at least know some specs before they get infatuated with unreleased drones.

Unless the OP knows something HUGE that others canot yet.....kind of silly assertion

It's like I post a hazy picture of some kind of phone I'm building in my garage and post "Bye Bye Apple"......silly

(Although IIRC, Apple started in a garage)....but that was a totally different day in time.   Today you need Millions upon millions to launce something like that.

Good Luck. DJI is the standard, everyone else is competing. I know nothing about this Mi drone and cheaper price will definitely not be the reason for me to leave a proven platform.

If one have learned anything from the Prodrone fiasco. I wouldn't place any pre-order with an untested company.

It's a drone that has 4K video.  What else does it do?   What's it range, flight time, capabilities etc...

Yup. What connorschulte said. We're going to have to wait and see. Their phones are competitively priced (and apparently good) so who knows, it might be the same for their drones. We'll have to wait and see.

Looks like it is targeted at P3 4K market?  2km (1.2 mile) range on 4K versions, with price point under $500...  Look like the original motors on the P3, not the newer version..

Nothing at this point to pull me away from P3P..  Battery life is better.. but not much..  Hard to tell about props, but look similar to DJI CF ones..

I'm not getting any other drones. Sticking with DJI. I may get the lilly for action shots, but other than that I love my phantom.

Terrible launch video.  Lack of knowledge at times about their own product.. the industry, the field, etc.  Many pertinent questions unanswered while silly ones plucked off the list.  My understanding is they're not even in beta stage..  Don't think DJI has anything to worry about on the high end for sure.. and yet to be proven technology will still have to be vetted out on the lower end..

It looks like it uses the dreaded 'both sticks down and centre' method of CSC, so that will piss off all those on here who hate that method, and then of those who are left, it implements NFZs, so that should account for the rest. The NFZs alone should ensure they commit 'commercial suicide', just like DJI have done.

Probably they used a Phantom or Inspire to make this launch video. Guys from Onagofly did exactly the same.

So,  I went hunting for specs and found plenty of them.  Pretty much every site I visited had some specs.  Problem is,  none of them are the same.  Here is some of what I found:

Priced from 350 to 610 dollars
The 1080p cam may be 16mpixels.  
The 4k cam will be 12mpixels
Has obstacle avoidance
Does not have obstacle avoidance
Has vps
Uses Glonass and Gps
removable camera and gimbal
360 gimbal makes 2000 corrections per minute to stay level
folding gear
modular design
27 min flight time
2k range.  Or 3k range.
Over the horizon flight possible
rth on signal loss
rth on low battery
auto takeoff and landing
app uses gesture control
Will only be released in China
Will be released everywhere but USA.
Will be released in the BETA version for 410 dollars




If it does all the stuff it says at that price point and works well,  I will be amazed.  I do like that it may be a modular design that will be upgradeable.

In any event,  it won't be actually in the production release until July,  and I don't feel like moving to China.
