Really? yes, its a mini iPad 1.  I had a feeling that it was a little outdated and might be the cause. If thats the case ignore my post. I'll be looking to upgrade soon then.

Yeap, unfortunately the processor can't handle the APP. If you take a look at the Phantom's box you'll see the minimum is an iPad mini 2...

I tried myself as well, and had your same issues.

Their reply will be something along the lines of

• this happens on only a few iOS devices
• this doesn't happen for anyone at DJI
• suggest you spend time rebooting, reinstalling
• this affects a very limited number of users so it's just your problem

I hope you're right about that.  However, not sure how they can fast track Apple to get an update on the store that quickly short of restoring the previous version already approved.

May 27th... Lovely weather... a little breeze...

I just got the chance to fly... using the latest DJI GO app...

In my case I also get black screens and a few black stripes... As many people already reported, mentioned, placed pictures and videos... I think I do not need to do that... The smae problem which, like all other users, did NOT show up using je DJI Go APP v. 2.8.1

DJI (friends) just now I checked again and my Phantom 4 also looses altitude and regains and drifts (just a little bit, but too much).
The same happened after a 2nd or 3rd firmware update of the Phantom 3 Pro which I owned before. The 3rd or 4th firmware update made the Phantom 3 solid as a rock.
I do hope DJI is taking this (and the (iOS)app-problem since 2.8.2) SERIOUS... I would like to fly in a nice and usual SAFE way before DJI will come out with the Phantom 5 or S or SE

Yes. I deleted the app, reinstalled, and relinked. Had the same issues.

for what its worth  -- I am using V 2.8.1 on my ipad mini.  I had the same video signal problem that most are describing, when I went to fly yesterday.  May 26, 2016.  A flight on May 24th and before I have not had this problem.  I was flying in an area I have flown a hundred times before, in a field.

The only difference I see in my experience is that I am still using version 2.8.1  - .

Just as frustrating as everyone else's video link.   This is on my phathom 3 pro

I will check the video signal and also try a different software program next time out.

Hi, I also have flown many flights with no issue and on the first flight with the new app I received the image transmission warning and had the colored bars and transmission breakups.

iPad mini or mini 2?  I'm on 2.8.1 DJI GO, 1.8 AC, and 1.6 RC with latest IOS (9.3.2).  No drop out issues, and got a weak signal warning 7,000 ft out through a tree line but still was transmitting video.  P3P (Model 323 (oldest), not A or B - if that makes a difference).. RC is B model.  So that could/should be at a minimum a benchmark.  I STILL wonder if these updates take into account all variations (as best as they can test) of the aircraft... The most sigificant was the last one when the main board was also changed in support of the motor change.

We know for certain that A, B and C aircraft models had different power ratings submitted to FAA..  Don't know if there is anything related to the A or B model Remote Control.  Perhaps a good idea when reporting these things now if we all list the specifics of our units (not serial #'s but generic things) like I'm mentioning..  Also, and let's be honest as possible.. any hardware mods to RC or Bird that have been done, etc..  Just a thought to help DJI debug or try to narrow down?

The recent weak signal/disconnect issue stems from 2.8.2.

So obviously this is only a problem with dji go app and not litchi? I haven't been able to fly since i updated the dji app but when i do and if i have issues ill just go buy the litchi app and ditch dji go

Not disagreeing at all, but wonder (as I mentioned) if it is all combos of hardware?  I'm assuming Litchi is using the SDK which may (or may not) change with each fw change..  We don't know if the same is true for the DJI GO app..  It may be talking at a different level to the RC and Aircraft.. I can't imagine that there isn't SOME testing done by DJI before this goes out the door.. how much we don't know.. on how many different machines or combos, we don't know..  I read somewhere there's like 37 variations on the P3A and P3P.. how do you test on each and every one..  Maybe this one hits them all, but you'd think SOMEONE in the testing group would have seen it..

Yes, like almost 100 posts says.. iOS Dji Go app version 2.8.1 is working perfect, but 2.8.2 you lose signal etc.

Did you also re-link?

Anyone check their cloud backups on iCloud to see if you have an older (as in a couple of days) backup that would have had 2.8.1 on it and not 2.8.2?

Same problem here, now.  Everything is up to date, no problems before DJI GO app update two days ago.  I hope this gets fixed very soon.  Very frustrating.

P4 (latest firmware) DJI Go app (most up to date version) Ipad Mini 2 with latest version of IOS.

DJI - Please fix this.  Honestly, everything worked great before this latest DJI Go update.  I have logged 43 flights (13.5 hours) with not one problem before this update, now I can't even fly it out of my yard before image transmission/screen freezing/pixilating issues.

Having the same problem as everyone else with the bad video link. Hope they fix it soon. Along with the gimbal tilt problem they have.

It would be interesting to get a matrix of what configurations are affected or not affected if everyone could post a full set information. I recall the only post I saw that is not having problems listed an older iOS version, this would help show that.

If you had 2.8.1 on your back up that's what will come back on the device.  Try to do the restore through iTunes..  I did that in the past with 2.7.1 and 2.8.. I got the app update notification after the restore that DJI GO app had an update.  I have automatic updates turned off..  HIGHLY recommend this setting..  I know, it's a pain to check every so often, but it's better than the alternative.  :-\

Great minds think alike...  I posted similar thought in #175 and #177.  There are a LOT of permutations out there.. I'm guess they can't physically test each and every one (not saying that's right or wrong).. probably reality though...  

Suggestion to DJI from a long long long time coder..  Get to a stable base for ALL devices, isolate code branches that WILL differ based on hardware and test to make sure each of those branches all end up at the same next step..  Has to get done with this many different versions of the same aircraft and RCs..  Otherwise it will get worse before it gets better..  :-(

Having same issue here with glitchy video transmission on 2.8.2 and on a brand new p4 out of the box on my iPad mini 4! Also tried re-installing app and re-linking RC as suggested earlier, but no luck of course! Absolutely no issue on my iPhone 6 with older 2.8.1 version! Bummer part is I'm on my second p4 now as I just exchanged my old one out at the Apple Store due to a different video transmission problem, or complete lack there of, which I started a thread on the forum a few days ago. So guess I'll have to wait a little longer to fly until an update comes out, unless I use my iPhone 6! Note to DJI: I will try to get a video out for you of the issue if you would like another one to show! Anything to help!
