Why does the recording automatically stop at 29:25"?

I believe it is to do with the fat32 format of the sd card. This limits continuous filming to 4GB. My pro cameras also do this but they don't stop, just record another block. Then they are stitched together for editing.

The osmo doesn't have this capability, so you need to stop and restart recording at a non crucial moment before every block of 30 mins, then you can effectively record for hours.
Hope this helps.

Hi pi-inthesky,
The 30 minutes recording limitation only happens in normal recording (It doesn't matter if it's FAT32 or exFAT). You can set the duration in the App as you like when shooting timelapse.

Thanks.

Thanks Adela not a deal breaker not many situations where you would record a subject for 30mins without a break.
