I see them saying they are submitting it to R&D, but for real how long till we get a fix because this is pretty bad.

Just watch the video. It is tedious but worth it to fly this weekend. Anyway, do whatever you want but the solution is already here.

Can you direct me to this video?  Im unable to connect at all and Im at Niagra Falls
I can control the drone, but the app icon that usually reads "camera" just says "how to connect".  Ive uninstalled/reinstalled the app.  Rebooted everything several times.  No luck.

try unplugging cable from device and back in again with RC on and DJI GO running. I've seen that kickstart a 'not connected' problem before.

I've done that about 30 times.  lol.

So RC on, aircraft on, run DJI GO and you're sitting with 'how to connect'.

Have you tried another cable ?

Correct.  And yes, Ive tried multiple cables.  The plot thickens.  It works with my iPhone.  But not with my iPad mini.  It worked fine a few weeks ago.  Maybe a glitch in the iPad app???

Did you have to uninstall Go App before using Charles to downgrade to 2.8.1?    When I go to the iTunes App store the download button for Go App is greyed out because the newest version of Go App is on device.

DJI GO 2.8.2 is causing video transmission problems, but I can't quite see how that would tie up with your cable connect between RC & Display device ?
Looks like you've tried all you can at present, you'll just have to fly by phone

  I had this problem myself on my iPad mini 4. This isn't the app but a combo of device and app issue. There are 2 ways to resolve this 1. While rc off but plugged into apple device close all apps running by pushing the home key twice and swiping up on all programs. While back on the main layout hold power button till it shows the swipe to turn off. Don't swip but yet hold down the home button till it takes you back to the home screen. This will stop all processes and any locked command lines in the code. You can retry the dji go app now.

If this fails to work you can do and full reset of the system without losing anything by closing all apps and holding the power and home button till it shuts down by its self but don't release the buttons till you see the apple logo.

I hope this helps because it resolved it for me on dji go 2.8.2. Good luck!

I too have noticed that feedback is choppy as of late..I use iPad mini 2 and at first was great but mow it's  unpredictable to be honest..

I just flew today and I had a weak signal prompt come up several times I wouldn't even mind if I was say 1 or 2 hundred meters away but  I was hovering 3 meters in front of me and2 meters above he ground.

Never had a issue today with my P4 or iPad mini.  Updated the app this morning and all of a sudden getting choppy video/blackouts and weird things happening.  It was from the app update, like i said, worked perfect then acted funny soon as I launched the P4 after the app update.  Hope they fix soon.

An easy way to downgrade firmware....

1. Plug the Drone into your PC/Laptop/Mac via USB cable.
2. Run the DJI Assistant on your PC.
3. Click the 'Phantom 4' icon.
4. On the startup page 'Firmware' you should see the current and previous firmware versions. Click the 'Downgrade' box on the previous firmware version.

I havn't seen any of these issues.  Guess I'm one of the lucky ones?  I run the GO app on an Android, if that matters any.

Yes the problem is only a iOS 2.8.2 problem, not android.

The problem is with version 2.8.2 of the DJI GO App' for IOS. When installed it's not quite so easy to roll back to previous version if you don't have a backup with older version.

If you don't have a iTunes or iCloud backup.. it is very hard and big job to get the older version. That's why people are waiting why the Dji will not roll back the old version.

This is a terrible situation....  I thought I had no problem because I have "Auto update" turned off on my iPhone...  I flew today and had the transmission problems... black screen... loss of signal, etc.... scared me half to death.  I noticed that the video was super glitchy even when standing next to the bird.  Anyway, I landed the drone and took a look at my DJI software.... it had indeed auto-updated to 2.8.2.  At some point I guess I decided to allow auto-update and turned it on.  BUMMER.

bummer.  brand new P4.  Came with 2.8.2.  Guess i wait for the fix.  Does DJI acknowledge the issue and do we know if they are pursuing a fix?

No.. Dji is not reported anything about this problem.. they are just waiting people videos about this problem. They not answer anything if we ask how long this fix will take.

Identical issue. PLEASE DJI. Patch the APP or suggest how to roll back.

They need to issue a link for 2.8.1 download.  Then if people want to revert back, it's super easy.  I'm about to embark on a long excersize to get this download

I'm unfortunately having this very issue mentioned above. Weak transmission pop ups, screen is pixelated real bad! I never had this issue til I updated  the new GO app, reports are popping up all over forums.

mine actually stopped. it works fine now. weird.
