Honestly, I don't know how much it will affect us RC pilots.
I will do a test tomorrow morning from work as I am only 115NM from China Lake.
But I'll have no idea when they will activate the system during the 6hrs.
I guess if the aircraft goes into ATTI mode then I know it was active at that time

A closer look at the area map shows that the larger areas of interest are thousands of feet AGL.

I know, I was meaning the pilots in the Los Angeles and surrounding area where it's 253NM at 50ft. There's probably hundreds and hundreds of RC pilots within that limit.
And it's a bit larger than that if you're going up a few hundred feet.

On the East Coast I can "lock" onto about 8 Glonass sats, but ony 3 or 4 give a useable GPS signal.    How about on the west coast?

Yes, for sure. I am curious.

So as the dates approach, if someone experiences lower GPS count, please let us know. I am in central US, if I have a chance to try I might.. it may force me to do more ATTI
