Hello, when I try to elevate my p4 is more than +500m the woman says maximum attitude reached. How can I make her shut up and elevate more ?

Thank you very much.

You can't....500m is the max alt.   The manual explains how to change the alt.

As it says in the specs, 500 metres above your launch point is as far as you can go.

You can elevate your P4 by elevating your launch point. However, you can't fly higher than 500M above your launch point.

Take your Phantom to the south base camp (5,364M) at Mt Everest and you can elevate your Phantom to 5,864M...

I mean if you want to change the software to remove the limit, go ahead. If you want to crash into a low flying aircraft at 3000 feet, screwing every hobbyist over and helping gain traction for tons of new laws to be created, be my guest. The law is 400 ft in many countries for a reason. Besides the "wow" factor, there aren't many reasons to fly extremely high, especially any that justify any of the risks.

You could try resetting the home point when you are at 500m altitude. (personally I don't think you should be flying that high, 500m is well over 1000 ft)

Buddy you dont need to fly that high... the risk of crashing into a commercial aircraft. Any incident will result in more stricked laws and whole other headaches.
Just imagine something goes wrong in that altitude and the drone drops without control....

Be happy, fly safe

I need to fly over 500m. There is a ridge line I want to fly up while staying no more than 100m above the ground. My target is more than 500m above the point I want to launch from at the base of the ridge. No commercial aircraft will be at risk by this flight.

Hey, actually I just realised that, mine is not let me go more than 120m too. Is it that because I bought that in uk or just I'm in uk ? For example if I go to Turkey for a holiday am I gonna be allowed to pass 120 ? Or my drone restricted with 120 because I bought it in uk ? Any idea?

Thanks.

In the UK there as no actual limit as long as you have unaided (naked eye) view of your craft to avoid any chance of a collision. The 120m is a guide which has become a legal myth. The only trouble is like distance you will get idiots who go beyond visual range increasing the chance of a more stringent distance becoming legal.

The CAA 'recommendations' are 400 feet if unaccompanied and 1000 feet with an observer, I suspect anybody challenging this in court would find themselves on the wrong side of the law. So no myth.

You can not be done for flying over 400ft. If you are involved in a collision above 400ft you would not be done for flying that high but for flying un safely, which they might take into consideration the fact that you are flying over 400ft. If cloud cover was at 300ft & you flew at 380ft & caused a collision you would be done under the same law. It's not the height that is written in the Law but being able to see your craft unaided so can avoid collisions.

I think that one thing that is just as damaging to our Hobby/Business of Remote aerial imaging of flying irresponsibly is whoever made this (FAKE DRONE STRIKE) video and posted it to get likes on youtube making out that it is real.
