Hi so my phantom 3 standard app video feed with my app is lagging. Do you know why this is?

it always lags a little.. dont expect it to be smooth

A lot has to do with your device.  It takes some processing power to display the fpv view.  I use an S5 Galaxy and an Nvidia Shield tablet.  I don't use those devices for anything but flying the Phantoms.  I don't even have sim cards in them.  I see very little lag at all.

Hello jbaltimore01, what's your mobile device? I'd suggest you to try the devices in our recommended list. As for the IOS device, it is recommended to enable hardware decoding in general settings.
