Your son is amazing! Yea I reckon I'm getting slower at few things, and my son is catching up on me with rc stuff! And I am waaay behind your son, that's for sure! And whatta dad!!

Yup I reckon Amazon knows how to make some extra cash from us guys in the southern hemisphere. Thanks for the great links though! BangGood has free shipping too! What a website! I bet I'll be spending hours scouring tems and people's reviews. And yes the Hubsan X4 is interesting at its price! The site says that it is coming soon, but there are bunch of people already asking for availability. I guess it's worth to keep an eye on, as there only few good quads (from what I've read) with much lower price range. Its kinda scary to know that they can fly with a "headless mode" though! It says there on the site! Ha ha

You just made me thinking what if I start building my very own quad, at least my little guy can have a new positive hobby. We could have some quality time together, just like you and your boy.

Please say hello to your son and tell him that another boy his age has just started learning to fly, and if he keep learning then he may become a world champ one day. Don't tell him about me though. I can't even handle a phantom :-)

I decided to try on a non-fpv Leason LS-129, USD.23, and both my son and I are happy campers! Boy this ting sure is hard to handle. The seller at the shop was kind enough to fine tuned it and all is good now! We even decided to get a helicopter for my lil girl, the Syma S107G, and for 20 bucks it is a very nice little chopper. I feel so safe flying with these two. Cost factor had really played it's part.

I have a fpv drone made by Dromida...150 bucks and all parts are replaceable cheap

I'm thinking about simple mod for Hoodman hood: small fan powered by 1000mAh LiPo battery. Indeed it can be really uncomfortable with face inside hot and humid chamber. The idea came after this feature on Shark goggles. I'll experiment with mocked hood and various hardware configurations first, posting my findings here ASAP...
