It can be downgraded to 1.8.8. My drones with the latest don't have the vibration issue. You can also do a search in our forum.

I downloaded the new firmware successfully but it has ruined flying for me. When I fly now, I can't go any kind of distance for it completely loses signal and the screen goes black. I can't even fly more than 300 feet away. Very disappointed!

I experienced the same. I uninstalled the DJI GO app and re-installed. It seems to have solved this problem for me. P3A.

I'm sorry you are experiencing difficulties, can you please provide your email and I will look at your flight record to see if i can see anything causing it.

I'm thinking, hoping, it is app related.  I've not got a chance to verify.  But at one point,  my app told me i was up to date on controller and drone. But it keeps telling me,  every now and than that remote needs upgraded.  So i Uninstall dji go, reinstalled.  Will check tonight.  But yes,  same thing.  I lose video feed..

My P3P was fine until I updated the firmware to P3X_FW_V01.09.0060
I went on DJI support chat and was given instructions on how to fix this problem.
I have no video transmission signal and when I tilt the drone to the extreme left, the gimbal buzzes.
When reviewing the results file .TXT, it said the firmware update failed.
DJI Chat said to reboot the drone with the new firmware update on the SD card.
Result is red light and constant long beep error.
I was told to remove the SD card from the drone, reboot it three times without the SD card in it, so I did.
Then I was told to put the SD card back into the drone with the P3X_FW_V01.09.0060.bin file on it and reboot the drone.
I did this, no luck, it eventually gives me a red light and long constant beep error.
I was told to downgrade it to previous firmware update P3X_FW_V01.08.0080, I was to reformat the SD card then put the P3X_FW_V01.08.0080 file on it, insert it into P3P and reboot.
I did this, it goes into downgrade mode and at some point I get the red light and long constant beep error.
No video signal, gimbal buzzes with drone tilted to the extreme left.

The drone was working fine until I updated it to the P3X_FW_V01.09.0060 firmware update.
My drone's motors spin up and the video level meter in the DJI GO app shows the camera is working but there is no video to be seen on my iPad.

This is beyond frustrating.

So after hours of trying and many online chats with DJI support, the P3X_FW_V01.09.0060 update worked but I was told that from here on out I always have to relink the RC with the drone, otherwise it may not work. Video transmission signal was re-established and gimbal buzzing went away.

Im with you on this. Im on the same and will never update, at least not while they have this ridiculous 'register to fly' every time you want to fly.
Okay, have restrictions built into the geo fence as they were when I bought my P3, but to have to log in and select where to fly each time  - no thanks, far too much of a nuisance.

That was an old post. Everything should be fine now.

Ok. I went home and took memory card out of gimble, first format,  than was gonna download and update the controller via the usb method, i figured id fly while the download was going on,  the sun was setting lol. But with no memory card in gimble, video transmission was better,  and the update was all of latest firmware. Hmmmm.

Is it possible to downgrade from V1.9.60 to  v1.6.0040. I didn't have any problem with V1.60 or V1.7. since 1.8 or 1.9 My drone is not as stable and the range have decresased by half. Can i Downgrade from 1.9.60 to 1.60. Also how about the RC do I have to downgrade that also?

I;m sorry you are experiencing this. The buzzing when you hold the drone in your have and tilt it to the extreme has nothing to do with firmware, you're just reaching the limit of the gimbal.

Can you please post the hidden log file from the SD card, I can look at the logs to see what's happening.
If you see text like this where module 8 and 15 say device not detected then you will need to send your aircraft in. Id you do not see that then you are ok and we can get you fixed up.

With the issues people have with updates and such, would it be wise (idf that is not already the case) to perhaps have apple stores and say geek squad at BestBuy, to be certified as "level one service centers" for DJI? Is that doable? Really such things as aiding with troubleshooting upgrade process, confirm week signal issues, could go a long way if there could be some local help for say $25 an incident, if free would not be doable? Seeing the confusion people go through, conflicting information, a local presence would be cool for many users.... or so I think. And yes, I know, I am talking US, but this is where I am, so thinking local is how I think now.

Does this fix the camera tilt giving an uneven horizon? It's happening to me all the time, even after a calibration.

Upated to 1.9.60 no issues yet hope all goes well for everyone else. Phantom 3 Advanced

Try doing an IMU calibration after chilling down the drone. If you can set it outside in the evening, or better place it infront of a cold running air conditioning unit, for 15 ~ 20mins. Have the RC on and Go app ready on the IMU calibration page, when you are about to proceed. Replace the warm battery, into the cold drone, turn it on, and
When the camera stops moving, tap the calibration button, and Tap again to begin. Be sure the drone is sitting on a perfectly stable & fat surface, of course right? ;-) and complete a gimbal calibration when the IMU finishes its own.
This procedure has helped many correct a crooked horizon issue.

Which Phantom 3 do you have, and what are your current versions of firmware?!
How do you download firmware for your RC only? You "Put it into remote" how?

If you read back a bit, i was given a link to do a backwards firmware update to controller only. It was on 1.6 , the newest,  but telling me to upgrade..

But,  if you open your dji go app, and HOLD the top right button,  that would take you to tutorials,  and simulator,etc.
Just HOLD IT DOWN! IT WILL ALL IF you want to roll back to earlier version.
Air craft off.  After i did,  i than went to fly,  it didn't want to play really.  So i went ahead and re downloaded new firmware.  And so far,  great results.  All latest firmware.  Except extra batteries.... i get the battery upgrade on those.

My son is VERY proficent at these sort of things ... we've tried his ipad and other Samsung tabletts to NO AVAIL!!  .. downloaded all the updates and into a few minutes of flight the laging is far too serious to be able to fly. Also lost signal,  freeze frame etc ... it was NOT doing this when I initially bought the drone a few months ago.  What can be done to eliviate this? I need the drone for my work so it's not just a toy for me.   Would rolling back the updates on the firm wear help?   Where can I find the older editions?  Also The DJI cable from tablett to Controler is not a good as a standard one I have for other devices .. it's looser and loses contact with the controler ...  !!!!

On dji website, just Google firmware update fir p3p, and you'll find a link lol. It's such a proplem, it's all over.
But id go there,  and download the 1.8.? Can't remember.  But the last one b4 the newest is available

Than Id make sure remote is latest version,  since it had to be on with bird for update,  and than re update to the latest again.
Each time taking your sd card out after update,  to check and see if successful,  and than format b4 putting back in bird.  
I'm hoping mine is all good now.  As far as a constant, update remote warnning, even though it was of latest.  I still might have loss a signal.  I haven't checked that far out yet..

As long as it's a proper Apple spec cable, you don't need to use the dji one

Well I've given up with this firmware update. I tried multiple times to update and failed every time including loss of video. I've re-downloaded, gone back to  v1.8.80 ( and it loads and works as always), and used multiple sd cards. Nothing has worked, so I'm staying with  v1.8.80.

Those may be branded DJI, buy not made by DJI or sold by DJI.
I'm sure your safer with a OEM Apple cable.

I have P3A since 2 months (so I am newbie) and I am on fw 1.8.80 for the aircraft and fw 1.6 for the RC and the last iOS App on an Ipad Mini. I am a bit scared in upgrading because the changes in this last firmware 1.9.60 are related to cold battery issue (I am in Italy and it is summer) and NFZ and therefore those changes do not seem to be so important, but the  upgrading process and recalibration process are somehow critical operations and the refore I do not want risk to cause more damages than benefits.
What do you suggest me to do ?
