I know you're not suppose to charge both units at the same time with the regular charger but can I with the 100W charger?

BTW, where did the search option go or did we ever have one?

I do it sometimes, with my charger to the Ph3P, no problem so far. Takes a bit longer though.

See the tiny magnifying glass on the top, right? Search for it. Hahaha

I charge my RC and 4 intelligent flight batteries together at once, all of the time.
Yes, I bought a second 100w charger for just that reason.. Hahaha

I don't think it is recommended to charge both at the same time.
Ref search option, top right after service. Small magnifying glass.

Yup I got this reminder from the my local dealer. Charging the rc and batteries has been a very long journey for me. Very long waits. Kind of doubtful to use 3rd party chargers though.

I shoot Folger's freeze dried Crystals stereo, directly into both of my dilated pupils... ;-)
Then gulp to a couple shooters of Polmos SPIRYTUS REKTYFIKOWANY. For medicinal purposes only, of course.
No doubt, I am fully awake, charged, and on "high" alert....
I am wondering when my new frightfully awake avatar will make a constant appearance within these forum threads...?

You asked, I responded in jest.
Most days, I am fully awake and mostly only half asleep at night.

Charging a flight battery right now, for an afternoon jaunt or haunt...

Well, I tried charging both the battery and the RC with the 100W charger and it took about an hour to charge both that were at around 50%. Now that I have everything charged I have to wait for the winds to die down. Every day we are getting 20-30mph gusts which I don't think my P3A would like too much.

I can't see how it can hurt the battery or RC, just takes a bit longer since they need to share the watts.

Except it does not 'share the watts', it actually puts more strain on the power supply. And that is not good, nor recommended. Having another 100W power supply is a good idea thougfh.

What geebax said it specifically states not to charge both together in the manual.

The charger will get warm. I wouldn't do it unattended.

I picked up the charger after it had been charging both units and it did not feel warm at all, actually I didn't even notice it. I will probably continue to charge things separately unless I'm in a hurry which 99% I am not.

Since the RC takes a bit longer to charge than a flight battery, you can charge the RC the night before or anytime.
The RC battery doesn't need to be babysat, like those intelligent flight battery packs do. ;-)
