Is this for the I1 as well as the I1pro?
I see it on the I1 download page but want to make sure before I download and install. Maybe this will fix the 1.8 glitch any word on if it does or not?

After update showed success my AC shows 1.8.01.00+ not 1.9.1.10

Great news for everyone.

Welcome to the DJI casino, place your bets and hope for a good outcome. I have only just got my gimbal back that was destroyed from the last update. At least I was fortunate to get a speedy 8 week turn around. Mmmmm........on reflection I think I might wait a little bit!

Good luck to all Inspire punters, may the odds be in your favour when you insert the sd card loaded with this months show bag full of surprises.

I see the same version numbers on my non-pro Inspire 1.  Beginning to look like the "+" indicates it's good and current?  Everything seems to work correctly after the update, including the fact that the DJI Go app doesn't tell me anything needs upgrading.  It'd be good to get confirmation on this though.

After the upgrade tonight I am also getting 1.8.01.00+  on the go app?
When I looked at the results on the micro card it does say success

Just updated the Flight Restriction Zone database!
That's mean more restriction for flying locations.
I bet not to upgrade then......

DJI stated in another thread that the Go app might not show the current FW for a while and you need to be connected to the internet for it to ever update in the Go app. As long as the txt file on the SD card shows success. you're good. I don't believe there is an update for the controller just the camera and the Inspire. Nothing to panic about. Relax. Have a cold one.

....installed without problems, this update is only for the aircraft and for the camera, not for the controller.
All works fine.

Mine showed the + on the Ipad mini and the 1.9 on my Samsung. Will fly later to see how the connection goes, I do not think the update was for the camera still 1.8 on it.

Only one, cold one?  This is DJI we're talking about.

We are happy to report that the DJI firmware issue that prevented the aircraft from executing Return-to-Home (RTH) on RC signal loss has been corrected with the latest firmware released on 6/13/16 for the Phantom 3 Advanced, Phantom 3 Professional, Inspire 1, and Inspire 1 Pro. The issue is not yet corrected for the Phantom 3 Standard and Phantom 3 4K.

We recommend upgrading to this firmware as soon as possible before continuing to use Autopilot.

You are fine, there is no update for the RC transmitter for this update  .  The + sign at the end of the old version of Fw means that the Update has been loaded with success but needs to be verified,   to do this , just make sure the your device has Internet access and that the go app can auto update.  Once this occurs the + will go away and the proper fw version (1.9.1.10  ) will take it's place.

bottom line, You are good, go fly, have fun

The above is patially correct and should be worded better, It should indicate that there may be a + sign after  previous version of firmware immediatly after the update.  This indicates success with the update BUT the "GO  APP" must have an oppurtunity to verify this via  internet to the Go  app device .  It will then roll over to the Proper version of FW number (1.9.1.10 )

Oh No .. just tried up install 1.9.10  and got constant "beeping sounds"  and notices regarding both upgrading software and confirming 8 pin wire from the gimbal above the damper plate should be check and sent into dji .. card never indicated that 1.9  fW was NOT installed .. changed batteries .. same peeping sounds without any tail lights. tried to go back to 1.8.1 and same peeping sound and gimble just flops dead.  flew there batteries this morning on 1.8.1 and 9 nine batteries yesterday without any notices or problems.. any help would be appreciated .. any thoughts on how to clear the error and maybe try for new install .. I am now a brick and have committed to three flight in the morning .. thank you for any suggestions.
OMG I think I did a real bonehead move when trying installing the new 1.9.10 FW ..now beeping continues with RC off and gimbal flops dead after calibrating.. thank you for any assistant ..

Have you updated in the past ?  (  so you know the sounds to look for ) If the Beep has no tone change , no beat, that indicates failure. ( MY tips pag goes over this in detail )

If it failed, how did you rollback to 1.8 ?  Are you sure you did not rollback to 1.7 ? This would indicate why the Gimbal is limp and no connection .  If at 1.7 you would have to rollback the RC to 1.58 for it to work.  


I would take a deep breath and  start over, re load 1.9 on a Clean  formatted SD card.  Wait for the Upload to finish.

Also can you post the PIN ERROR, you may have not noticed the error in the past , it very well may have to go in.  At the very least Inspect the wiring on the camera to Gimbal and Gimbal to aircraft, LOOK CLOSELY  use a manifying glass if necessary .



You may just have a broken Gimbal Harness and ther rest is just throwing you off,  Did you have a hard Landing or crash ?

Thank you so very much for the prompt reply Donnie .yes I have 1.5 years with this and over 950 flights with over 340 hours in the air ..never have I done a bonehead move like leaving the RC power on while upgrading. Beep has no tone change at all -- I never could roll back to 1.8 .. got same beeping and limp gimbal after calibration attempt --I have reformatted the SD card and tried to install it again .. but it never even starts the install of the FW just calibrates the gimbal and keeps beeping (constant) and then gimbal goes limp .. with only beeping continues .. no tail light indications at all during attempt ..

As Donnie and flighttime1 have already indicated, the + at the end of the firmware versions are not a cause for concern. Please ensure that you have an internet connection in order for the app to properly update the About page with the appropriate firmware versions. We expect that it may take some time for the servers to translate the firmware information, but you should see the updated firmware versions in the DJI GO app soon. As long as you received a successful .txt file after the firmware update, you're good to go.

Ok , if you have done many updates in the past, I think your Gimbal is broken, or at the least the wiring Harness, I would Inspect it very Closely, Maybe just a pin has been bent or wire is loose.

This is what all indications are pointing at in my opinion .

thanks so much Donnie .. im not sure how to get to the harness connections above the damper plate - should I remove the damper plate to get access to the gimbal connections .. boy this is odd after so many flawless lights yesterday.. thank you again

That is how I would do it, Or at least just inspect it from above .

Thanks I checked the gimbal cables they looked fine ( I removed and blew them out) .. did not stop the beeping .. so I just let it beep for 20 minutes then the beeping tone changed and the 1.9 installed with success. gimbal seems to work fine without any notices .. will fly in the morning and test .. I doubt the gimbal really had anything to do with the issue . Thank you again for your help .

Be sure to calibrate the IMU and camera gimbals after an update, I was looking up some other threads for your problem and found that it could be a solution.  Plus after updates you always want to do this.

Hello,
I believe the issue is you are installing the X3 firmware as what you posted is WM610 and that is the X3.
The X5 firmware is WM610_FC550.
Download the correct one and let us know if it then takes the update.

Sorry for your loss R and L.... maybe next time anchor inspire to the leg of the table. It is well documented how they get so twitchy and excitable after an update, a bit like trying to keep a wild horse in a holding pen!
