HI
How do people calibrate their monitoring screens?
By that I mean that as we are using phones / i phone in my case, but the brightness of the screen is completely adjustable, how do you know where to set the aperture based on what you see? If the screen is set low then youll over crank the camera iris incorrectly?
Ideas or techniques?

You can turn on exposure warning (zebra) and/or histogram.  This is a good check for how your image looks on the phone/ipad. You can't control anything but brightness on the phone.
