AutoFlight Logic has announced that the latest DJI firmware update has corrected the RTH function in their App. Please see release notes sent by email

RTH issue corrected for most aircraft types!
We are happy to report that the DJI firmware issue that prevented the aircraft from executing Return-to-Home (RTH) on RC signal loss has been corrected with the latest firmware released on 6/13/16 for the Phantom 3 Advanced, Phantom 3 Professional, Inspire 1, and Inspire 1 Pro. The issue is not yet corrected for the Phantom 3 Standard and Phantom 3 4K.

We recommend upgrading to this firmware as soon as possible before continuing to use Autopilot.

IMO yes... I have updated without any problems and just flew today and the video is working great.

Sorry, I was unaware of this until you asked the question. I copied the information from the Hanger website
currently it has not been fixed based on the info below.  Please remember this is SDK programming that is affected by changes that DJI makes to the FW and is not a defect of the third party program. I would suggest you email the company and ask when the fix would be coming out.

DJI Firmware Issue Preventing Return-to-Home in All  versions of Autopilot
Jun 13, 2016: The firmware released on Jun 13, 2016 corrects the RTH issue for the Phantom 3 Advanced, Phantom 3 Professional, Inspire 1, and Inspire 1 Pro. The issue is still present for the Phantom 3 Standard and Phantom 3 4K.

Apr 8, 2016: The firmware released on Apr 7, 2016 does correct the RTH issue for the Phantom 4, but the issue is still present for all other aircraft types. From DJI on why this firmware release did not contain the fix:

The background is this firmware release also wasn’t planned and primarily addressed a security enhancement we wanted to push out ASAP (and didn’t need all the normal flight control testing). With the exception of some minor issues, firmware for flight control, camera etc weren’t updated to the next major release (which is still under testing - and has been for a while) where the issue below is fixed. The “planned" firmware release is currently the end of April.
