I think this is a major issue, I am not over-reacting. We just want a solution !

Guys, i have the same issue. I send my p3s back and they send me a new one. Tomorrow i will receive it and i will tell you if everything is ok.
Listen to me and send your drone back to dji repair serivce.
P3s with wifi connection can reach 1000 meters in open field and 300-600 in urban areas.

Is it a major issue? I have 2 P3S and both fly normal both on 1.5.7 and 1.6.8 FW.
I can take it up to 500m and 1000 - 1300m distance at home. If I go to nearest town I get just 200 - 300m.
Did a search there for WiFi and found 65 senders some rather strong signals.

Do you use your phone or tablet for flying?

Would you think it was a major issue if your P3S couldn't go further than 50m?

It would bee issue for me not for all Phantom 3. This is not an issue for all Phantom 3 users as you might think.

In my opinion there are two reasons for rc signal issue:
1) Firmware upgrade procedure
2) Hardware revision of our p3s that with the new firmware doesn't work

So that's why a lot of people have the rc signal issue and others haven't.

I will wait for your tests to send it back to DJI. Actually it will be very costly for me as i need to clear the customs. Almost half of the p3s price

DJI doesn't want anything negative posted. They hide what is important and blow off everything else.

Well i am guessing but they replace my p3s (or they say it) for free. if it was not their fault, why they replace my p3s for free?
I will trust more in dji if they admitted their guilt, but i understand also their silence

No offense intended maybe a slightly different approach would have gotten you to where you are now a lot sooner

When things go bad in the GO app I fly using the Litchi App until DJI figures out what the problem is with the GO app. I fly using Litchi mostly...it is a better app to fly with.

Hi,  edu0939 i have received my p3s back and this afternoon i have tested it.
I was in a park with a lot of peple so i didn't push my drone to the limit.
I was in the same place where i have lost rc signal after 40-50 meters.
Well today a reched 100 meters of distance and 79.5 of altitude and My rc signal was full, all the time.
I know it's not a full test but it's a good signal for me.
This week end i will full test my p3s

P.S. dj go ask me to register my p3s so it's a new one

P.P.S. p3s firmware version is 1.6.8

Hi, i have tested today in an open field (many electricity pylon and one gsm but 0 human )
I have reched 290 meters distance with full rc signal (70 meters height).
I have only one advice for video signal and some video latency but it all acettable
I am very happy now i can use and have fun with my phantom 3s

Great to hear that now you are satisfied. But i am still not sure if that range is OK for p3s. In open area i was able to bet 1100 meters in 500 meter altitude. Anyway i think i will be sending my p3s to DJI but im sure it will cost more than 150 usd
