A common sense feature long requested is now available! You can rename your craft by going to 'General Settings', selecting 'Device Name' and typing in a new name

It's been there since 1.8, I had not seen anyone asking about renaming so I didn't make the reply.
I should have made my own thread stating that it's available.

Hi Ken,

I agree you should create a post that documents the full set of changes for each new upgrade of the Go App as well as of firmware. Many customers have suggested that DJI do this but so far, this has not been carried out.

Several posts asked about renaming - this is relevant for situations were
1. One did not register the aircraft name properly resulting in it being called 'choose a name for your inspire'
2. One changes one's mind about the name of the craft
3. The craft changes owners

Honestly, I just found it one day, so I did not know it was there until I stumbled upon it.
