OK, so I bought a P3 4k and managed to get it connected to my Galaxy S4 phone and activated online.  The problem is that I use the phone as a phone, so every time I want to fly the damn phone battery is low.  I have a Nexus 7, which has a larger screen and which I can dedicate to the Phantom, but I can't get it connected.

It has the DJIGo installed because I have used it with my P3 Pro.  Android 6.0 something.  Controller is connected to the copter, so I could fly without the Nexus, but I need the FPV.  The copter is activated online via the phone, but I can't connect the Nexux.

I turn on the controller and the copter, then connect the Nexus to the controller.  Open DJIGo, choose the P3 Standard from the equipment list, then tap How to Connect.  I open the Phantom Wifi, and How to Connect directs me back to the equipment page, where I should be able to enter camera view, but where I instead see How to Connect again.

Any ideas?  Please speak slowly and don't skip any steps?

Is Nexus 7 listed as a Recommened Device on the DJI web product page and/or listed in the user manual? Is the left-most LED on the Phantom 3 4K Remote Controller GREEN when you try this? GREEN indicates the Remote Controller is connected to the aircraft. How long do you wait for DJI GO Home Page to detect the aircraft?

Which ever model you have, select the same in DJI Go app.

Yes, the controller status light is green.  Nexus 7 II is listed.

I have a P3 Advanced, but I got a P3 4k for the better camera.

When trying to connect with DJIGO, the P3 4k is not listed on the equipment page, so following the advice of others, I have tried to use the P3 Standard procedure in DJIGO.  It doesn't get me to the Camera View option.

The Nexus 7 did work with the P3 Advanced.

You are connecting Google Nexus 7 II to the Phantom 3 4K Remote Controller via Wi-Fi, right?

This is a known issue for the Android version of DJI GO app. Apparently all you are really missing seeing is the connection instructions. They will be the same as Phantom 3 Standard anyway.

only problem is there is no P3 4K option on the app.

So you have a P3 4K .
It must be able to be used with the DJI go app, as they have prob sold billions of them...
Even DJI wouldn't  make a product without an app for it

Only a problem when AC is not connected to the RC and MD not connected to RC.
