X5 on S900 with A3 all working well going to air test later to day.

Did you use the Matrice 600 expansion plate? Did you need to modify the standoffs? Can you use the X5 for FPV as well as video? Thanks

Hi yes I used the M600 plate and turn round the stand-offs.

Know you can only use it for video or stills no FPV.

I am about to mount an X5R on my S900. I note that on the M600 it plugs in to an 18v supply - is the X5/X5R OK on 6S supply?

Yes it is fine on 22v

I have now setup the X5R + LB2 + N3 on my S900 and it all works beautifully with DJI Go. Compared to the Z15-GH4, which I used previously, the reduction in weight plus the camera control are very welcome. Next plan is possibly to add E1200 motors.

Hi,
I have a GH4 setup at the moment and am thinking X5R for my S1000. How do you think the X5R compares with the GH4?

The X5R is only lashed up to my S900 at the moment because I have 3 jobs to do tomorrow (house photography) and don't want to do them with an unfamiliar system. So tomorrow I will use the GH4 then later this week will affect the change. I'll report back once i've used the system.

We don't expect any improvement in the video/photo quality but for me the attraction is the increased flight time the reduced weight will provide and for my camera operator the control he will have over the camera once the rig is in the air. They will be good enough reasons to have changed.

Why the X5 camera is hanging soooo low? It looks ridiculous, but there's perhaps a reason ...

Not sure about that we connected it through the M600 mounting plate that will take up to 22v

yes you can use 6S on X3 and X5

I will use the M600 mounting plate too.

thanks for your help, I tried the X3 and it works, I can control the gimbal with the LB2 controller, start and stop recording with the app. But for now, I cannot see a live stream in the DJI go app, only a black screen. I made some test videos and photo, I can see them on my PC when I insert the sd card, but not in the GO app. I am running the original firmware, do I need a special firmware for the X3, to be able to see the live stream in the app?
