I've had a P2V+ for a year and my P3P since May 2015.  Right after upgrading my firmware to 1.9.6 and my DJI Go to 2.8.3, I have had some cutouts with my video feed to my iPad mini 4.  My first battery had no problems, then the 2nd battery started showing some dropouts.  The third battery also showed a few.  Then while on the fourth battery, I switched to a POI flight, which seemed to trigger more video droputs and a red banner message saying "Weak Transmission."  I have kept my P3P and RC all up to date and have not had any problems until now.  Since I upgraded the FW and the app all at the same time, I'm not sure which is causing the problem.  Nothing shows up when I up load the files to Healthy Drones.  Any suggestions?

Hello Ron, what was the image transmission condition at that time? Have you tried to lower the image transmission quality and enable the hardware decoding?

Do we have the possibility to lower the transmission quality in this FW version because I can't find It ?

My image transmission setting are on Auto.  And my video setting are on 1080p, which they have always been.   I do have the hardware decoding enabled as well.  When you ask about lowering the image transmission quality, is that the video setting, or something else?

I'm using iOS, but I believe you need to have your Phantom turned on and be connected to it to see that screen.

First I flew with "auto" for tranmission settings and completely lost my video feed at only 100 feet out.  Next I set my Image Transmission Setting as shown in the screen shot.  All seemed to work fine.  Looks like this might be solved, though I'm not sure what has changed - only the FW and the DJI Go app.  But I did get a notice saying my FW needed to be updated while I was flying and on the general screen.  I'll be checking that and report back.

I added the hack. Set to manual and usually channel 25 or so. Image transmission at 4mb. RC loses transmission before video. Love that hack.

Antenna configuration has not been a problem.

As I told you above I can't see the option to set lower the image transmission on my Sony z3

I stay on 1.4.10 (aircraft ),(1.3.20 RC)for half year, no lag and very smooth video live feed.
And now once I upgraded to 1.8, all my smooth feeling downgraded, and very lag video even in short distance.

I already used DJI recommended device (ipad air 2)
I think DJI must deal with that issue!

I'm using iOS, so don't know about Android.  Mine has an option for "Custom" to pick the channel - then you can adjust the transmission rate.  Good luck.
