If I do a factory reset in the DJI Assistant 2 software, do I need to register my Phantom 4 again?

In other words is it "new" like it comes out of the box when I bought it?

Do I need to complete the activation process, like giving the phantom a name and things like that?

If you reset or delete your Assistant2 software all it's going to do is ask you to login in again with your email and password.
When you received your P4 you did the activation and it's a one time thing so you'll never have to do it again on your particular aircraft.

Ok that is clear, but when I use the blue button see image I factory reset my Phantom 4.

Even then I do not go through the activation process again?

I wonder whether it is a factory reset, it just put all settings to default and it stays on the current fimware. No activation and no new name.

Just ignore the blue button.
Is there a reason you are trying to get it to activate it again?

Waarom word het het dan een Factory reset genoemd.
Ik was in de veronderstelling dat de Phantom opnieuw (alsof hij uit de fabriek komt) ingesteld moet worden.
Ik heb het niet nodig alles werkt prima, maar ik vroeg het mij alleen af.

Now there is no reason to this at this moment, I noticed the Factory reset button and I was wondering if everyting resets if was it new out of the box.
Only a precaution if there will be some problems.
At present, everything works fine!

Hoi Rutger,

Dat is wat ik mij dus ook af vraag, het lijkt mij handig bij verkoop of tweedehands koop dat je hem compleet opnieuw kunt instellen inclusief opnieuw activeren en een naampje kan geven.

Precies daarom stelde ik deze vraag ook, maar "just icnore the button" is het antwoord...
ok waarom is die button er dan? laat hem dan weg...

Sounds good, and there would never be any reason to totally reset the aircraft.
