I was wondering if the antennas are directional or omnidirectional and what the best orientation of the antennas are.

There are antenna signal radiation diagrams for antennas, has anyone seen one for the type that are on the P3's controller?

Just have in mind the 2 panel antenna inside the RC its a must to aim the RC right to the bird.
If you use the standard phone stand have it leaning as close to middle as possible not strait up.

It's coming out of your router.  It's coming out of your phone.  It's coming out of your tablet.  It's coming out of your laptop.  It's coming out of your TV.  Etc.

What about it? Not sure what you mean?
Radiation is EVERYWHERE. Anything that communicates with something else radiates. AS has been said [probably the single biggest radiator we use is the mobile phone, and it's right alongside your brain!
