A very big THANK YOU to DJI, had to return  my brand new P4 because of a bad camera, just got a replacement P4 and  from start to finish took 11 days.. that is a huge difference in turn  around times.. anyway , back to my question.. i return the other one  exactly as they asked it to be.. BUT.. I forgot to Take off my FAA# from  inside the battery compartment... does anyone think this will or could  become an issue.... do I need to contact FAA or DJI

If dji has it i doubt it. If a private party maybe,but not always

I wouldn't worry about it. The FAA has no idea what they are doing at this point, regarding drones.
Document that the SN of your previous drone is no longer in your possession.

Don't worry, if someone did some bad stuff with that drone, you're not responsible anyway since you didn't do it.

I had a simialr question, not specifically about the label, but perhaps the content of the thread can give you some ideas.

It can' hurt to just send them an e-mail, so you have done your part.

My personal idea to your question is based on the trust that I have in DJI to check and clean up the P4 before it gets back to a new owner, if at all. (as a side note, someone mentioned his replacement was dirty, so there might be the exception and my reason to write to the FAA.)

I wouldn't worry about it. Dpi will refresh everything before doing anything with it if they do anything at all with it.

I did the same thing thinking I would get the same unit back, I wouldn't worry

Not a problem. For the future check out tomstechtime.com for your stickers. He does a nice job and they are custom to you.
