Just been using the DJI Go simulator.

Can somebody explain the flight telemetry display (the circular radar screen).  I thought the red arrow pointed to the direction of the aircraft. However with the aircraft pointing away from me the red icon in the radar display is pointing to 9 o'clock.  Why is it not pointing away from me too - is 12 o'clock?

Where are you relative to the aircraft?  Are you behind it, to the side of it, etc?  If you walk around the aircraft while in Simulator, the arrow will rotate..

I was behind it so I would have expected to see the icon facing forward.

The red arrow (actually it's a paper plane icon) represents your aircraft.
Fly away and it goes away.
Fly left and it goes left on the radar display.
Rotate it and the display shows which way it is facing.
