I tried to connect my controller to the tablet (its updated offline internet but gps on) and it wont connect when its plugged in at all i tried 3 differnt cables none work
But when i plug it into my phone (offline but gps on) it works everytime and all 3 cables work as well

It has worked before but today it doesnt work at all
somedays it doesnt work but then does later

the app is up to date i even reinstalled it and still doesnt work

sorry for double post but an update i forgot to mention was
that it sometimes does work but i have to restart it like 5+ times i dont feel like i have to do that and i am logged in on the app but it doesnt reconize this tablet plugged into the controller at all but it does with my phone (lgg4) but this tablet i forgot to mention is a Nvidia shield which i know does support it and all my files are up to date (or at least should be becasue i had updated them less than a week ago)

Hello acegolfking, I'd suggest you to check the settings or plug-ins in your NV Shield which may have some effect on the communication between RC and the tablet since your LG G4 works normally.

it was working yesterday (after restarting it once or twice)
i dont see how there is any changes in the plug ins since were talking about a usb charging cable type thing it says charging so it reconizes the cablee and the tablet starts a charge cycle when its plugged in so its somethng else

its still giving me issues yesterday it would work on first try
but today it didnt at all
its not giving errors
nor is it saying any compladablity issue

its giving the charging symbol so i know the tablet is connected but the app doesnt start up

After powering the RC on, does swiping down form the top give you any USB Charging options. If so, change it to MIDI if that is one of the options.

what i do is i power the controller on
then the drone
and i plug it in and it just has  CAMERA (or whatever it says) in grey and when i click it it says disconnected on the top
but it shows a charging symbol on the tablet so it means it was connected


and idk anything about a midi option as it doesnt say Tablet charging in task bar

There must be some security setting on the Shield that's preventing connection to the app to run the software but it is allowing it to connect as a charger (although it doesn't actually charge your device)
Can you try another Android device with that cable?
If it worked then didn't work maybe it's the cable.
Also try this, when everything is connected RC on and GO app open, unplug the USB cable then plug it in again.

i said earlier in the post it works with my phone no problem
and i did 3 differnt cables
and i do this with app running or not

but the thing is its not EVERY TIME
somedays it works
some days it doesnt
if you need a video or pictrures il post some

Having the same issue... already missed the fireworks, losing faith in this p3a... every time I want to fly it, it's like rolling the dice whether it will work or not

well im going to keep praticing with this 1 untill i pay off my credit card debt so i can then buy a new drone / P4 or something

It's got to be something in the android tablet software... finally got it going on my phone but it won't recognize the camera on the android tablet

I have the Same issues. I think it has something to do with Android marshmallow.

Internet access would not be a factor in connecting to the DJI Go app. Have you tried another tablet that also does not use WiFi or cell data, just to rule out whether it's an issue with the tablet itself?

i tired a differnt tablet once it worked at least once but it lagged like hell
i got a picture of the issue im talking about with the camera word in grey
idk what else 2 do im going crazy i wanna fly tommrow (i only went 170 feet) i wanna try n hit 250 and get some aerial shots
