Where I use to fly, near the ocean (even 50Km inside the territory), I have allways around 4-6 seagulls flying agressive around my PH4, and sometimes activating the front obstacle sensors. uf!!
I wonder if........DJI that is allways ahead of the others......if they could include in next Phantom generations, some kind of ultra-sound that scares the seagulls.....?

I too have that problem... wonder what a P4 vs seagull would result in.... not that I wanna have to wash seagull splatter off my drone... lol

:-) I live in the same spot......Leça da Palmeira!
oups! english Google translation :
"But yesterday was the D.Luis Bridge, from the Serra do Pilar, there was waste from the night out, and they were all on the roof of the church, only after I have taken of, is that they flyed as a group behind the poor Phantom .... what a nightmare .... the wind was from east and they still managed to keep above the stationary flight alongside the Phantom ..... nor did the right wanted to do. And to land ...... they fly above and below ..... I did not dare to fly more"

Perhaps giving them  sardines or heads of fish before taking of?
Or painting some kind of monster face on the white Phantom?

I don´t know if they have a different reaction to a black drone?

Hahaha, what a coincidence we live close to each other !!

I loved your idea of the sardines...

I found out that taking off and climbing right away to at least 80 to 100m kind of works... They get a bit agitated, but they don't climb as much.

On Long Island they are more timid I guess.  They stay away or make a detour around it,

At the moment, I've seen some customers put reflective stickers on their units that are supposed to deter birds such as seagulls. That may be something to look into?
