I wondering if there are any phantom 4 fliers out there that are flying dbs Maxxrange unboosted and what type of range are you getting?

I actually purchased a p3 controller and added the maxx range mod to fly my p4 and I have to say that it increased the range a ton.  Its a rather bulky antenna but the power is amazing.  I was getting around 4000 ft before the mod and now I'm getting close to 18000 ft.  Its definitely worth the investment.

Can I ask if you installed yourself are did they install for you?

Are you line of sight? Like over the ocean or desert? or through tree's in a residential area?  I see very little change in my residential area w/ the dbs antenna's.

That's what I read and heard many times... I think we need kind of a 'scientific' test of all these mods to see which promises are really delivered and which ones are no more than hot air.

I was looking @ a this mod, and they had video showing the testing, they also offered to install and test to confirm it worked on your controller, still this is risky I believe. I wish authorised dealer could prove or disprove these claims. I am not sure if I am gonna try this mod, but it def wouldn't be on my original controller, I will purchase a used or new one, and I will be sending it to these guys to try n test. I wonder if some of the ones that dont work so well are purchased extenders that have been installed by purchaser, and thus maybe they missed or over looked something ( not saying, just saying, lol). Regardless, anything done to original equipement will void warrenty, so I wont tamper with it.

16000 ft p3s  dbs is great mod.

Did you do the mod urself, or did you send in your controller n have them do it for you?

Im flying line of site over ohio river valley and a small river town and I live on a hill so I'm up about 200' and then I fly out from there.  The trees do become an obstacle the farther out I go because the angle gets less.  The maxx range antenna makes a big difference in this location.

No boosters  just the antenna.
