As for today - July 5/2016 - is this version de-bugged, fixed and ironed after release few weeks ago? I just did the successful upgrade, calibrated everything humanly possible, but didn't fly yet. Am I good to go?

I dont know if they actually tweak the program  without issuing another version , I would hope not , or at least DJI should inform us if that is their policy .

I think I would use a lot of caution , this problem can come up after several succesful flights so be careful.

It worked fine on mine but not for others, I dont understand why either.

I would like to say I have enjoyed your humor through all of this! Thank you for sharing and taking the time to lighten the mood. I had no issues on 1.9 but decided to downgrade to 1.8 to be safe. Afterwards my Inspire was dropping on its own from about 12 feet and had to hold up stick to keep my shot during filming. This has only happened two times and put the 1.9 FW back on the Inspire. I have not flown anymore with 1.9FW and waiting for DJI to comment on the internal firmware results.

Rich, I've read all humanly traceable info related to this issue until 4am this morning ... Of course official DJI statement regarding the status of 1.9 FW is nowhere to find ... As for today I'm prepared to downgrade my Inspire 1P back to 1.8 FW without even trying to start the engines and perform test hovering ...

Donnie, what would you consider as a "careful" flying, carrying a ticking bomb hidden somewhere within aircraft cargo compartment? Flying slow? At low altitudes? Hiring a firefighters with jumping pad beneath? Pardon my sarcasm, I'm begging you, Brother ...

There are some users out there that are having some difficulties. My Inspire doesn't have any issues.
I can say that R&D is working on it and beta testing is being done and new firmware should be out shortly.

Hi, I think we are on the same boat but my Inspire dropped round about 3m of the ground and I ruined the whole aircraft. I used a iMac like you and you can imagine - i'm not amused about this firmware update. I have a new one (let's optimise DJI revenue) and I'm on the 1.8. firmware now. Hope they will fix it soon. Good news Ken.....

BUT why is the 1.9.1 version still available if there is a problem causing "SOME" Inspires to misbehave? It seems more than odd that a company that is so concerned about operators flying near airports would keep software available that creates issues for safe operations.

It would be nice to get some sort of explanation as to the issue - it is hard to understand how a change in the flight restriction zone database can cause the issues that it has.  

Not critical at you Ken, but the lack of information out of DJI when things do go pear shaped is frustrating to say the least.

If DJI are beta testing new software then there is clearly a problem here.  "We are working on it" is a bit short of the mark - if DJI are beta testing the new software then someone must know what the issue is to specifically address in order to produce this software version.

This all makes me glad that I decided to hold off updating firmware. I left it as it was since I downgraded the camera fw on 5/12.

When this latest fw came out, I immediately noticed people having problems with it. (Some Quite serious)
I have taken the advice of others and resolved to never do a fw update until I read PLENTY of posts that say it was beneficial.
My Pro flies great and the camera is working perfectly now.
I am reminded of an old saying... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Silly me, I upgraded, but luckily didn't fly yet ... sort of lost tracking the related thread, which now is over 8 pages long with no conclusion whatsoever other than to downgrade back to 1.8 and wait for fix. They messed it up very badly, since "we're working on it" goes for weeks from the day one ... Well, s#@&t happen, I'll sit and wait.

Dear Folks,

It appears to me that the thread 55776-1-1 disappeared from DJI's forum of posts. Although it can still be searched and posts were being actively added to it recently, it just does not show up in this Forum.

Anybody notice this? Or was it just my browser's problem?

I just meant you are more than likely going to try to fly, and to be as cautious as possible.

Hi Folks,

FWs v1.09.01.30 across the entire Inspire 1 line are up. My Inspire 1 Pro had been upgraded with the "Internal FW" v1.09.10.21 from DJI R&D for a week and am happy to confirmed that all issues were gone after test flying my Inspire 1 for more than 10 flights, with both X3 and X5 attached. Today, before trying to upgrade with this FW v1.09.01.30, I checked and found out that the aircraft version in the About page of the DJI GO app shows Version 1.9.1.30.
I have tried upgraded with this FW v1.09.01.30 but the resulting log file indicates that all devices have already been up-to-date and the packet upgrade was cancelled at version checking. The sizes of both bin files are exactly the same. It appeared to me that these FWs are indeed the renamed "Internal FWs" DJI R&D Dept emailed to us a week ago in addressing our issues w/ FW v1.09.01.10.
If any of you experienced the uncommanded rising & lowering of Inspire without auto raising of landing gear after upgraded to FW v1.09.01.10, you may consider upgrading to these FWs.

Probably a small typo, here: Camera version v1.9.1.30 and aircraft version v1.9.1.1

Should it not be Aircraft: v1.9.1.30, Camera: v1.9.1.10?

Why the +  and why some have camera 191.00?

I am glad you waited .. I flew 2 flights today over the water with the new FW 1.9.1.30... I think the firmware is good to go.  I might be having a problem with my VPS
