I need some advice...did I buy a lemon Inspire pro x5? I purchased this Inspire at the end of Jan 2016 for the real estate management company I work for.  I don't fly it much and have around 2hrs of actual flight time to date.  Back in March I got an "ESC error" and sent it to DJI for repair.  At no cost and a quick turn around they replaced:

1 - Inspire 3510 Motor-KV420 CW
1 - Inspire_DZ_EP002_V1_PCBA

When I got it back in March flew it once to make sure it was working...everything was fine.  Last Thursday my boss wants to shoot some video of the 6,000 acre property (water falls, farm lands etc.).  I take it home to fly it this weekend and make sure its working and I get "No image transmission signal".  I search the message boards and internet for a fix...I've tried the following with no success:

- Tried 3 different Micro SD cards: SanDisk Extreme 64GB, 32GB a regular SanDisk 32GB (shows "Slow" in the display)
- Reformatted the cards in both the DJI app and my laptop.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the DJI Go app 2 times on my Mini IPad2
- Installed the DJI Go app on my Samsung S7 android phone - (it just shows "No Signal" unlike the IPad that shows "No image transmission signal")
- I upgrade the firmware to 1.8.1.00 successful!  but fails with 1.9 using any SD card.
- I examined the pins on the gimbal they are clean and not bent or broken (I hardly fly this bird so it should be good)
- I have full control of the gimbal movements and it appears to respond to the gimbal calibration and firmware update (red/green light visual cues)
- I can take pictures/video so I can assume the actual camera appears to be working...I just can't see any image on the display.
- I'm a one controller bird so I don't have another one to try.

Maybe some video controller has failed like my ESC controller did back in March.  Only 2 hours of total flight time, no crashes, not even a scratch.  The bird sits in its protective case (until called upon) in my temperature controlled computer room...low humidity.  I would really like DJI to replace this lemon...

What version are you on with the Transmitter ?  If you use 1.8 currently for the Aircraft you must have 1.6 for the RC transmitter . ( Is the Transmitter updated ?)
OR
You may have a damaged "Video Trans module" , the only way to check is to Take the SD card with the last update on it and look at the hidden file , OR you can re- install the current version you want on the Aircraft and re- load it once again, since it is the same version it will only take a couple of minutes to load , then take the SD card out and look at the hidden file on your computer  .  If lines 0800 or 1500 say "Device Not Detected" it must go in for service .  I have a link to view the hidden file , Please post the results here so we can help you further.
I would start with the above for sure ....

Other possibilities
I pad mini and x5 dont play well together SOMETIMES
Might have the wrong version of FW loaded for the X5 ( Are you sure you updated for the Pro and not the standard Inspire  ?) Updated the aircraft without updating the RC to the proper version ( Possibility )

Anyway I just finished talking to DJI and as he begun his troubleshooting questions I stopped him and said, "lets cut to the chase I pulled the logs and its showing a device not detected on 800 and 1500 lol"  This bird is going back and he's processing an RMA.  Thanks for your help! saved me the time on endless troubleshooting questions.  I really hope this bird gets a good checkup because these repair issues are getting old.  Thanks again Donnie!

Hi guys,

I'm having the same problem with my inspire 1. I dont know if its software problem or aircraft problem. After i tried to reinstall the latest firmware look at the log file and i have the "device not detected" at line 1500 but not at 800...

BTW my "No Signal" (at android device) and "Weak transmission signal" (ios device) problems are intermittent, i mean, sometimes it works, some times it doesn't...

What do you need from me, to help you to help me?

If you are getting "device not detected" then it would be best to send the unit in for RMA. Have you been in contact with the Europe Support team as well?

I was trying to avoid that because last time this went to RMA, it took 2 months to get it back... I can't afford to stop my company again for 2 months. And it makes no sense that this just happened after the last firmware update by DJI, before that everything was just fine! This makes no sense at all........

The Europe office is currently experiencing low turnaround times, so I do not believe it would take 2 months to receive your aircraft back. Most likely the image transmission component did not download the firmware properly. If you are not able to downgrage and reattempt the update, then a RMA would be the best course of action.

DJI does not have an official video, however, it would be placing one previous firmware version .bin file on the SD card as you normally do and performing the basic aircraft firmware update process.
