My research lab has a Phantom 2 Vision+ and I was wondering if it would be possible to log gps and height level data during flight and save it?

If you take photos in DNG/RAW the data is saved in the exif data and can be seen in Lightroom.

And there's websites out there that you just upload the photo and it will give you all the data.

You can purchase a small module from Flytrex.com ( I did ), and it will save the GPS coordinates, temperature, height... on an MicroSD card automatically during each flight.  Works great.  Costs about $50.
