I have a had a P2V+ 3.0 for two years and stiil enjoy using this legacy equipment,even with the obvious flaw that the camera has. I have read previous threads stating the the P3 Camera wiring is not compatable. Knowing that I was thinking and maybe some has already explored this (if so share) to utilize possibly the optics or any electrical components of camera. At the least swap the camera housing to utilize the filters that are availble. that seems to make since right

The old P2V camera and new P3 camera do not have compatible parts.
I don't think what you are trying to achieve is possible.

Yes, the P3's camera housings are much larger than a P2V.
I think it's time you look into getting a P3
