I want to get an IPad mini 2 for my R/C, (Phantom 3 Advanced), just to be sure , I only need WI-FI service for this device right? do I need also cellular service? Thanks for the help

You don't need to have cellular data in order to use the app itself, but it would be needed for the Follow Me function or if you want to have the map on the Go app cache continuously.
