Do any of you avoid the newest firmware and use an old one for safe flying for the phantom 3?

I'm not having any problems

I'm in the USA Phantom 3 standard fw 1.6.8 I really can't say I see any issues I upgraded not long after first flight so I really can't compare but I don't have issues

I am on stock. I installed the latest firmware on my old standard and it wouldn't fly more than 30 metres without loosing video signal. So I returned it to the shop. I would say if it works fine now then leave it. Having said that, I get the feeling it's a small minority that is having this issue though.

DJI recommends being on the latest update. I update about 20 aircraft after an update comes out and have never had an issue.

Always keep my Phantom 3 Pro' updated to the latest released versions. Never had one issue with my drone in the year plus it's been in my possession.
You have nothing to worry about, and the whole sky to look forward to, so go fly and be free. Hahaha

Most people who offer advice, to those with problems here, don't have them same issues. I can only surmise that most phantom owners never even frequent these forums.
Why would they? Other than to read what some owners have been confronted with, or to see which models are preferable over all them others.
Sharing the videos that are recorded all over the world, is something that is most welcomed and I have often appreciated.

There are so many new drone companies developing new models out there, that the numbers are becoming uncountable.
But one popular company has risen to the top. Feature rich and always improving.  Guess who that is? ;-)
I could share with you a half dozen or more, very fine drone companies, most folks here have never heard of, if you want them, let me know.

I think because the problems are mainly for UK residents.

I would not visit this forum if my P3S would had a 500m range, but no, it does not (it's 20-30m) and here I am.

I'm sorry if you are experiencing issues. If none of the troubleshooting steps can remedy the iffue then you would need to contact support and have it sent in to be looked at.
