The FC200 firmware version 1.3.0 is announced but I can only download the version 1.2.5 ! If I check the version I have on the app, I have version 1.2.9 !


Anybody can explain me or where I can get the 1.3.0 version  ?

I have seen this as well, Don't know how to get it though.

It is now available on the Downloads page.
Remember that you have to update the camera firmware via the micro SD card.

update with SD card (bin file in the root folder and copter on / off) is not possible. still version 1.2.5g on the camera :-(

I could not find anything about the camera-update in the manual. only LED codes.

Its for the Vision, but as I understand its the same way for the V+.
Not had time to try it yet myself.

During the update, do not turn off the camera or take out the Micro-SD card. This may prevent
your camera from switching on and will need a factory reset.
A fast red flashing LED after the update means the update has failed. Please try again.
For the v1.1.8 version of the PHANTOM 2 VISION Camera, PAL support has been added to the
camera including 1080p25 and 960p25.

Follow the below instructions to update your firmware.

1. Download the latest firmware of camera from DJI website.
2. Copy the “firmware.bin” file to the root folder of your Micro-SD card.
3. Insert the SD card into the camera before turning it on.
4. Turn on the camera.
5. The firmware update will begin automatically. A yellow flashing LED indicates that the camera is updating.
6. When the yellow flashing disappears, the firmware has been updated. After a successful update, the
“firmware.bin” file’s name will change to “firmware.bin.bak00”. This file can now be deleted.

Just a hint if this doesn't work - for me I could update the camera to V1.3.0g following the steps above but I had to rename the extracted file from firmware_plus_v1.3.0g.bin to firmware_plus.bin on the SD-Card before it would get accepted.

Yes, we have to rename the file from firmware_plus_v1.3.0g.bin to firmware_plus.bin

Has anyone seen a difference on their Phones with what is now displayed vs. what was displayed before?
I have done both the iOS update on my phone and the V1.3 update on the P2V+
I took a screen capture after the update/reboot and compared it to the manual and cannot see anything as of yet!

you mention PAL support for vision2 but does this also work for v2+? and only 25fps not 50fps?

My iPhone/iPad app auto-updated shortly after the app update came out. Flying yesterday I noted that I had horrible, unusable FPV lag. When I figured out what had happened today, I went ahead and uploaded the camera firmware update and updated the camera. That went fine, but don't forget to rename the .bin file or it won't work, and when it's done, delete the .bak folder from the card or you might get a second attempt to update the firmware, which freezes FPV.

I saw some stuff here somewhere that listed the 4 main features of the update. There are probably some little bug fixes too, although I haven't seen anything about such things. I might not have updated if it had been my choice, but my Vision app auto-updated and it left me with some funkiness (lag) in my camera FPV. I had to do something, so rather than going back to a previous app version, I just went ahead and updated the camera firmware, using the new app with the new firmware. Everything's working just fine.

Update worked for the firmware 1.30.  Thank you all for the info on how to actually make it work.

Mac, can you check what video size/frame rates are now available on the app?  someone mentioned that it can now record in PAL format. This would be good for me in NZ as we are PAL down here.

i download the file rename it to firmware_plus.bin copy and paste it in the folder dcim of the memmory card that i formated on the phantom from the app and insert the memmory card back into the camera open the phantom but nothing happens ??? no update no nothing is there somethink else we have to do for the firmware to go thru ???

Dont put the file in any folder just copy it to the SD card

Thanks for this. Finally updated the camera firmware.

But now my app is still crashing when I click on 'camera'! (latest ios app)

Argh. So frustrating. Can someone help?

i paste it in the memmory card and again it does not do any update

i open the phantom with the memmory card in it and the file in the memmory card renamed and green light come on straight away ???

ok just found my stuoid mistake   i was renaming it with .bin at the end as you only have to rename it firmware_plus and then off course the .bin goes in automaticaly   thanks guys.
