I'm not sure what's going on. Anyone else experience this liquid next to  the gold connector prong. I get this after charging my TB48 batteries.

I never really had a close look at mine, and my TB48's are new.  As writing this, I did inspect my charger.  I don't see the same thing, but it might have dried.  I think your seeing a conductive grease that helps to prevent the contacts from corroding or getting carbon build up.

I cannot think of anything that could leak from a charger. Just wires and plastic.  Are you sure that the battery  did not pick up some water or something?  rain or some other way to get moisture inside the battery connector?

Hello Cabralkev, can this "liquid" be wiped? Actually there isn't any liquid in the charger.

Yes the liquid can be wiped clean. I tried to see if there was an odor, I didn't notice any scent. If there was any scent, it wasn't strong. There was no burning scent either. Smelt like nothing to be honest. From my knowledge, the batteries do not leak. If there was a failure to the battery, shouldn't it swell, or burst in flame? What could be the cause of this liquid then? I'm so confused. I tried all 3 batteries I own, each one when unplugged showed the liquid on the charger like you see in the picture. This time around, it wasn't as bad, very little appeared.

Not that I'm aware of no. I even threw in 2 of those bags that absorb moisture in my DJI case. I'm out of ideas on what to do. Worst case scenario is to buy a new charger. However, I'd like to make sure before I do spend the money. It's just weird, it charges my batteries no problems too. No issues with charging.

Nope none. I take care of my things. Again, after I charged each battery I have, it left that liquid. It's as if the gold prongs gets hot and possibly melt the plastic around it? I'm not sure. I even checked to see the battery connectors and all is well. All clean. If you like, I can take a picture of each one to show?

I'm just out of ideas what it can be. When it charges, I put my finger on the charging bit that is hooked on to the battery. It's cold to the touch. However, I have a feeling the gold prongs that connect into the battery, that might be hot. I'm not sure.

Is it the transparent liquid or black liquid like the melt plastic? If it is convenient, you can try your batteries with other charger.

Maybe a tiny amount of electrolysis condensation ?  this is strange for sure.  Make sure your batteries and charger are at room temperature before charging.

Does it have any viscosity to it ?  or does it just look and feel like water ?

I am going to look at mine very closely next time I charge to see if I can help Identify what it is .

I am not saying it is electrolysis  condensation for sure, just throwing it out there as a possibility .

The liquid is transparent so it looks black, blends with the black to the charger. It comes off no problem when I clean it.

I'll post a pic of the batteries connection part shortly. Question though. Will continuing to use this charger, will it cause damage to the battery? I assume the 'damage' would be the battery actually catching on flames?

This looks the same for all of my 3 batteries. The battery connection is clean, no liquid.

Question do you charge from same location always? can you check the polarity at your outlet just curious if there is reverse polarity open neutral, or open ground just ruling out any possible problems back to Charger( if that could even contribute) . I get 26.2 V DC out put on my charger with my meter no liquid but will monitor thanks
happy flights

Is the charger suppose to produce 26.2 V DC into the battery? I'm going to test it and see how many volts it's pushing out. I also charged the battery in a different location, same liquid appeared on the charger area. I'm started to think the gold prongs are getting to hot or to warm and melting the surronding black plastic.

Any damage or deformation of the battery?Or any liquid leaked from this position? Does the same issue come up when you use different chargers? position.jpg

If the plastic is melted, I think you'll see some scars on it after wiping the liquid out.

Nothing the battery looks fine. All my batteries are fine. No swelling, no nothing. The liquid doesn't make it's way into the battery connection. It appears on the base of the charger next to the gold prong. I currently have the charger in a zip lock bag of rice. Not sure if it's going to do anything, but just want to try. I'm honestly out of ideas on why this is happening. I charged my other battery today, the liquid was veryyyyy little this time around. Maybe a hairline of a liquid that appeared when unplugged the charger to the battery. When I wipe the residue clean, I see nothing after. Just looks clean that is all. However, if I look closely next to the gold prongs on the charger. I see some residue build up. As if the plastic around the gold prongs is getting hot and melting. I might be going crazy, but it looks that way. I even just cleaned it now, so now it's clean and looks normal. I have a feeling it will come back again though. I'm thinking maybe the 180 watt charger might be better for these TB48 batteries.

severe weather / temperature  changes or high humidify?  I cannot think of anything that could cause this issue. All of my pack are dry, they do not have any dielectric oil or grease on the connectors.

The simple fact the charger is working and the packs are charging up tells me that the moisture is coming from somewhere else.

Yeah it charges fine no issues. I had to deep cycle my one TB48 yesterday. Charged it to 100% no problems. No error msges in the DJI go app. It told me to deep cycle, after I did, no errors. I have AC at home. It's currently 23 degree's Celsius. Not sure if this is a issue? I've left my charger in a zip lock bag of rice. Covered the connection piece that goes into the battery when charging full of rice. Going to remove it in a few minutes and see if it worked. It's been in the bag since 6pm yesterday lol.

A deep cycle from 0-100% took me 1 hour and 40 minutes for my TB48 battery. I assume this is normal? The charger I have is 100 watt. I may consider getting the 180 watt this weekend if I can't figure out where this moisture is coming from.

This time is normal. If you use a 180W charger to do the charge cycle for your TB48, it takes about 70 minutes.

The charger won't do that and our battery has a protection program in it.Don't worry too much about it. What's more, if the liquid is leaked from the battery, it has an unpleasant smell.

Is the odor obvious? When I saw the liquid, I tried to smell and see if there was a scent. Didn't notice anything. I thought these lipo batteries don't leak. Isn't it dry cells inside the lipo packs? So basically dry inside the pack.

Have you tried to charge in dry air? I think this issue may relate to the air humidity in your room, and the moisture vapor in the air condenses into droplets of water next to the metal connector, due to the change of temperature outside

If you are using the DJI power supply it will not hurt your batteries. Li-Po batteries are in sealed packs for each cell. They cannot be exposed to air, as this will cause it to bust into flames (or burn up).  So with this said, the moisture you have experienced has to be from something outside of the battery and power supply. Most likely humidity or condensation.....
