I am having issues connecting controller or drone via usb cable. I have tried a couple of different computers but none of them recognise the usb connection.
Does anybody have an idea of what I maybe doing wrong. is there something special about the cable that comes with the unit?

Before anyone can tell you what you are doing wrong, they need to know exactly what you are doing when trying to connect, the devil is in the details

have you downloaded the DJI Win Driver, Phantom vision assistant and RC Assistant?
All must be downloaded and installed before any connection would be recognized.

And also verify if you are using a comparable usb sync cable for drone
