It is a self-made frame, a hexacopter with 6x T-Motor MT4006 740Kv and 6x Maytech 30A with SimonK ...
I mounted the same A3 on a different drone to exclude the possibility that it might be a faulty ESC or motor. The flight was even worser on that drone.
I don't think it is a problem of my drone because the second drone has different motors, props and ESCs.
I just did a short test flight. But that was enough:
I put a cord on it to avoid a flyaway as I don't trust this controller anymore.
Sky, it appears that you may have a bad A3 but I would like to ask a few questions. What are your IMU mod values. Can you show us a screen shot of the placement of the GPS puck and the x, y and z values. Thank you for your assistance.
My A3 is having similar problems, but I have only flown indoors (I will post a video when I can). I am using a custom frame with T-Motor MT4004 300Kv with RTF BEARHUGESC 18AMP 2S-6S 3.0 with BLHeli 14.3 Firmware (400 hz compatible).
My A3 fails on compass calibration 90% of the time, it is very difficult to finish the calibration completely. Once It has been calibrated, moving the quad around only a meter or so causes it to need compass recalibration (blinking yellow and red on the LED status).
