when I fly by P3S on night and fly in country mean not much light like city or lot house. To bright affect drone's camera to bright from screen monitor. But problem hard see during night. But I can see the drone during night and only house's light help bright.
Idea add light on drone?
Most left dark!

there is and advanced option when you replay , then you can upload the video
or just post the Youtube link

How do I do this?

Since we're in the topic of flying after dark, is there a law or restriction in doing so?

okay, where right now your video is if on youtube. then copy youtube link from your youtube or else owner youtube. copy then add link on forum paste. should work!

hey, i've check this website and saw said for drone said not for phantom 3 standard! so and i already have idea use my own flashing lumen about 750 lumen pretty powelful

I'll be very curious to see how you like them and how much light they actually give you.  I've worked with LumeCubes for regular photography and their output and reach isn't great, but on the 2.8 Drone camera they may work better.  Let us know...

Were you using the latest version? 1500 Lumens at 6000kv is remarkably bright, considering the cubes are only 1.5" square...

Great to know which way your bird is facing at night, I;ve seen em on a P-4, man I thought it was a UFO coming at me!
Guy lite a huge area under his drone , quite bright, I didn't get a chance to speak with him though.
Do they  have their own power source?

Yup, got a rechargeable battery onboard. With a USB charging port...

Any idea how much flying time you will lose carrying an extra half pound of weight Red? I see they run for 20 minutes at full brightness. About a battery. Not bad. I will be interested to see these when we get together.

Sounds like around 4-5minutes less air time, on a fully charged flight battery. ;-)But on half power, they run for two hours.
I'm looking forward to some awesome night flights now, using these, for extra video (fill) lighting...

Yes..  They're great for fill light, but the light fall off over distance is pretty strong.  The reflective area is so small that they can only fill so much of an area at a given distance... but again, never had them on a drone, so I can't speak for effectiveness there.

I shall test them on my drone, first darkness... Hahaha

These are $5 on Amazon, are zoomable, have three modes including strobe and are INCREDIBLY bright, light weight and will clip onto the Phantom. They shoot a bright solid beam out 100 yards or more. Be sure to get the 14500 3.6v Battery for the extra boost over the standard AA battery.

If you just want to see where your quad is in the dark, I use these http://www.flytron.com/led-systems/319-strobon-standalone.html I can see it flashing about a mile away. Weighs nothing and will run for days on a single charge. These strobes hurt your eyes if you accidentally look directly into them.

I wonder what DJI phantom 3's max lift weight. So able add our own light flash powerful. I have two flashlight really powerful  1500 and 750 that pretty to use flashlight! But need know what max lift weight!

Funny as there seems to be some misinformation, or someone has their facts incorrect.
On the package the Lume Cube drone mounts were sent in, it clearly states on the back:
You can now use your drone as a spotlight to light your scene and never lose sight of it as you fly off into the night. Includes (2) two Lume Cube Mounts to be used with DJI Phantom 3 (Standard, Advanced, Professionsl). Attach Two Lume Cubes to the legs of your drone for high quality nighttime imagery. Not sure why they couldn't be used. Unless the Bluetooth has some negative significance.

There are numerous videos demonstrating the lifting ability of our Phantom 3 drones.
A flashlight should be small Hutterite potatoes.. ;-)



Hopefully this and above, helps you have a better understanding of their lifting power...

I know my idea will make someone a millionaire, but a cool design will be one which places 1 sticker with a line on the gimbal, and then the 2 lights are on a gimbal and they get their direction from the camera gimbal.  So when the gimbal is facing down, then the line will move down, and the lights will follow the line marker.

I have sent the patent in, so please do not forget to throw a few $ my way before you go ahead with this!

If you know how to edit well Try doing a long exposure
