have any of you out there used this feature yet ?   if so how did it work as advertised.

What feature are you referring to?
The I1 uses Lightbridge technology to perform most of its operations.
So, if an operator is using the I1, he's using Lightbridge...

The live broadcast feature using the hdmi port out to a big screen

I have tried the hdmi out on a large screen and on hdmi goggles and it works very well; You can have osd data on it aswel if required.

Hi Dennis...I haven't used the HDMI port yet but it is my understanding that you can use the USB for the tablet and the HDMI at the same time.  Rick from Marionville Drones states this in one of his tutorials on you tube.  You do have to turn this feature on in the pilot app and set it on dual output however.
