Does anyone have any information on the Inspire 2 such as release date, price, camera, etc. I have heard that it will be unveiled in September but that is all I know.

There is currently no information in regards to an Inspire 2 release.

So far, all I've seen are rumours but it could be that event in September... I forget what it's called. That could be when they announce/reveal it. If that's the case, I hope it's available as soon as it's announced because I have a trip planned for October and want to use it then.
EDIT: The event is Interdrone which is on the 7-9th of September. There are several speakers from DJI confirmed but that's about it so far... It could be nothing but we'll see.

not sure how legitimate this is but hopefully this isn't the only big announcement.

Yea its not the best looking machine! the rain proof would be handy but i think it still needs somekind of protection to stop rain getting on the lens

It's defiantly not for the average joe, especially at around 10 grand, I don't think businesses will be interested in  this machine because it only has 4 props. Even if it can fly in the rain how good could the video be with the lens covered in water droplets? Even a few drops cause massive distortion.

Doesn't sound right having in mind the cameras are NOT waterproof or water resistant.

we do not need a new one!
What we need is a camera for pictures and a separate camera for video!

A quadcopter for this price is rediculous. btw there are videos showing the Inspire 1 flying in rain also though its not recommended. Any case known where a Inspire 1  crashed because it way flying in rain?

Besides, rain will eat up your props just as it does on full size props.
