I received my inspire pro a couple of weeks ago and have been for a total of 9 flights so far.
It works fine but I'm having a couple of issues (the other I'll put in a seperate thread as is completely irrelivant to this).
What I find is that the default position my X5 resets to when you turn it on or click the position reset button is just a few degrees off on the yaw axis.
Is there a way to adjust this?
I'm also finding that roll seems to lose the horrizon over time, is this something that's expected to come in a software fix soon?

Have you already tried an IMU calibration and gimbal calibration in that order? Did you notice this after a firmware update or a hard landing?

This was from my first use of the inspire (I did a firmware update on the inspire and the TX before my first flight). I'll give that a try on my next flight.

Hi DJI Jamie i currently have the same problem with gimbal and camera after updating to firmware V01.09.01.30 i was on previous FWV01.03.00.60 With perfect settings on Gimbal and stunning 4k video  and signal strength! now the 4k video is distorted and grainy nothing like the quality before the FW update. also i have re-cal the IMU on flat level ground no problem. the issue seems to surface when i cal- Compass and the X5 resets and points straight down at an angle i then have to manually level the horizon line by anything from 1.0 / 2.0 and then during flight its just horrible. ???????

I have the same f€&@ing problem ..... When I upgraded my AC to 1.9.30. I don't have normal image quality and sometimes the footige is not that cool what it was before.

The horizont problem is in this FW , always they advise US to do IMU&gimbal calibration and Okey lets say IT will works but when you turn of the AC you will have the same problem .....



DJI PLEASE FIX THESE PROBLEMS AND GIVE US A NEW FW !!!!!!

Once you do an IMU calibration immediately do a camera Gimbal calibration .  See if this helps.

standard X5 15mm on this pro and was amazing / perfect FW01.03.00.60 i had to update from this not through my chocie as the aircraft became unstable and with compass issues which updating did correct. However SINCE every update since! March 2016 there has been nothing but absolute issues with either SIGNAL LOSS.... OR CAMARA / GIMBAL issues. i have had another Pro x5 signal drop out and loss of communication and failure to RTH when signal loss with new FW update from less than 200m away. Anyway long story short 19 weeks ( YES 19) and counting it has been with DJI in Holland i believe.

Same issue here, but in my case I had a crash, the camera went to China for repairing, and now I have this issue. I have done the IMU and gimbal calibration, with no luck.

I sent only the camera, not the aircraft. It seems as is the imu position has changed after the crash.
The issue is the same with 15mm dji lens, olympus 45mm or olynpus 12mm.
I'll try to test the camera on the Osmo of a friend, just to be sure that the problem is in the aircraft.
Is there any way to adjust the imu?

I apologize for the late reply. The only way to adjust the IMU would be via an IMU calibration. Whenever you have a chance to let me know how the OSMO test went, it would be appreciated.

Hi Mikey,

I think you your problem may be from overdoing the calibration. Many people are unsure when to perform the compass calibration so they do it every flight, "to be on the safe side". DON'T. Once you have  good cal, leave it. Part of your pre-flight checks should be to check your sensor readings, if you compass mod value is between 1400-1600, you are good to go. The DJI app will let you know if the compass need calibrating.

I agree with Mark 100% as well, do it once , do it right, and then only do it if there is a AC firmware update,  the AC starts drifting, or you Tavel at least 150 -200 miles from the original compass calibration point .
